Betting Pick: Colorado Rockies vs. San Diego Padres

After a rough outing on the road, Joey Lucchesi looks to regain his dominant home form Monday night when the San Diego Padres begin a two-game set with the struggling Colorado Rockies. Jeff Hoffman (0-0, 9.35 ERA in 2018) will get the ball for the first time this season after being one of Colorado’s final cuts at spring training. The right-hander was a mid-season call-up in 2018, making one start and six overall appearances that totaled 8 2-3 innings.

Hoffman was supposed to start Wednesday against Atlanta, but that game was postponed due to snow. He did get some work with Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday, striking out eight in four innings while throwing 80 pitches and allowing four runs and four hits. Lucchesi (2-1, 4.40) got off to a fast start, winning his first two outings while scattering seven hits and three walks over 10 1-3 shutout innings. That type of dominance, though, did not follow him to northern California as the San Francisco Giants teed off on him for seven runs and seven hits in four innings — six of those runs coming in the second — of San Diego’s 7-2 loss Tuesday night.

Why Choose TGF?

The art of sports betting is not something that is taught or learned overnight. Like most hobbies, it takes time and effort to pick winning spreads and keep momentum. Many novice sports bettors choose to bet with their hearts instead of their minds. Sports betting is about statistical information, the type of knowledge that only comes through following teams, players and game results.
