Betting Pick: Warriors vs. Clippers

Betting Pick: Warriors vs. Clippers

The Golden State Warriors will be trying to take a 2-0 lead in their best of seven series when they take on the Los Angeles Clippers in the second game of their first-round series on Monday night. The Clippers picked the wrong time to play basketball and will need to turn things around if they don’t want this to be a short series. They have lost four of their last five games and will need to play much better than they have over the past two weeks if they want to steal home court from the Warriors. In the first game, the Clippers fell behind quickly and were unable to recover as the Warriors stayed hot the entire game. They will try to get off to a fast start and make the Warriors play from behind this time around, but they will need to shoot the ball better than they did after shooting 40 percent from the field in the first game. Los Angeles played well offensively during the regular season, averaging 115.1 points per game, which was fifth in the league. The team shot 40 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range in game one.

The Warriors dominated the Clippers during the regular season winning three of their four meetings. They have now won four consecutive games against the Clippers and will try to make it five wins in a row when they play on Monday night. Golden State dominated Los Angeles from the opening tip in the first game, but Kevin Durant managed to pick up a technical late in the game after getting into an altercation with Patrick Beverly. The Warriors will need him to keep his composure so he doesn’t accumulate enough technical that will force him to sit out a game like Draymond Green in 2016. The Warriors were the second-best offensive team in the league during the regular season, averaging 117.7 points per game. They played much better in the first game, scoring 121 points on 49 percent shooting from the field and 46 percent from three-point range. Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors with 38 points, 15 rebounds, and seven assists. Kevin Durant finished with 23 points, four rebounds, and three assists, while Draymond Green added 17 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

Why Choose TGF?

The art of sports betting is not something that is taught or learned overnight. Like most hobbies, it takes time and effort to pick winning spreads and keep momentum. Many novice sports bettors choose to bet with their hearts instead of their minds. Sports betting is about statistical information, the type of knowledge that only comes through following teams, players and game results.
