Cleveland dropped the rubber game of an interleague set at home against Atlanta as they were drubbed 11-5 on Sunday night. The Indians swept the last series between the teams, which came here September 2-4, 2016.

The Atlanta Braves continue their trip through Ohio as they play the first game of a three-game set with the Cincinnati Reds Tuesday night. Atlanta won the rubber game of their three-game set, 11-5, over the Indians on the road Sunday night in their last game. Cincinnati dropped the finale of a four-game set with the Padres, 4-3, on the road Sunday to miss a chance at a sweep. The Reds won the season series 4-3 last season though the teams split four meetings here April 23-26, 2018.

The Tampa Bay Rays and the Kansas City Royals will resume a three-game series Tuesday evening from Tropicana Field. The Royals will give the starting nod to 32-year old right-hander Homer Bailey, and the Rays have yet to announce their starter. The Rays defeated the Royals in all seven meetings last season.

The Boston Red Sox will host the Detroit Tigers in the nightcap of a doubleheader Tuesday evening from Fenway Park.

Having finally notched his first win since joining the Washington Nationals, Patrick Corbin hopes the second one comes about Tuesday night when his team’s series continues against the Colorado Rockies.Corbin (1-0, 2.36 ERA) finally broke through for his first win with the Nationals since signing a six-year, $140 million free agent deal in December. The left-hander had not pitched all that badly in any of his previous three starts and has found a groove in the last two.

The Chicago White Sox are on the road as they play the middle game of a three-game set with the Baltimore Orioles Tuesday night. Chicago dropped two of three to Detroit as they fell 4-3 on the road Sunday afternoon in a rain-shortened four-game set. Baltimore was swept at home in a rain-shortened four-game series by Minnesota, losing the finale 4-3 Sunday afternoon. The pitching matchup for Monday’s opener saw Manny Banuelos take the mound for the White Sox against the Orioles’ David Hess. First pitch in the game was set for 7:05 pm ET.

The Pittsburgh Pirates will host the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first game of a four-game series starting Monday night from PNC Park. The Diamondbacks will send 28-year old right-hander Zack Godley to the mound, and the Pirates will counter with 26-year old right-hander Joe Musgrove. The Diamondbacks posted a 6-1 record against the Pirates last season.

Major League Baseball action on Monday evening and a pair of teams from the National League East will square off as the Philadelphia Phillies pay a visit to CitiField in New York to grapple with the New York Mets in game one of a four-game series. The Phillies took two of the first three meetings between these teams this year.
