NCAAF Picks : Hurricane Joaquin with Michigan at Maryland 10/3
TGF’s NCAAF Picks takes on the unusual circumstance surrounding Michigan (3-1) at Maryland (2-2). Hurricane Joaquin has been wrecking havoc in the Bahamas and is threatening land fall on the Eastern Seaboard. This game has been pushed up to noon on 10/3. How will all of this alter our Free Pick Slam for Saturday?
NCAAF Picks : Ground Down
With the hurricane possibly coming down to bear, the possibility of rain is still pretty high. Both games will play it closer to the vest in the face of the wind. Rushing attacks will take front and center. This would normally be advantage to Michigan but De’veon Smith got his ankle rolled over in the third quarter of the BYU game. Immediately, Smith indicated he would be good to go for this one but was seen in one of those precautionary boots early this week. Coach Harbaugh has been also quiet about him. With possibility of less than ideal traction, the Wolverine rushing game might sputter some on Saturday.
Similar Bad Spot
BYU was in an awful spot when they had to come to Ann Arbor. Now the Wolverines having to adjust their travel plans are equally behind the eight ball. They have power house Northwestern up next and could be looking for the big win next week. This has suddenly come a low reward and high risk venture for the Wolverines. All Michigan hopes to achieve is to not have anyone hurt and get out of town with a win. That is what makes the two touchdown plus spread on Maryland so attractive.
So be prepared to be dazzled by return specialist Will Likely. The quarterback rotation will be pared down to one as Daxx Garman was underwhelming in spot relief. All in all, this Maryland squad has more talent than their 2-2 record bestows. TGF’s recommendation for this one is the Terps + 14 1/2. Good fortune and we will see you tomorrow here at The Gambling Forum.
