Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Chicago Bears Week 2 NFL

Updated: September 15, 2017

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Chicago Bears on Sunday at 1:00pm ET.  This game marks the Bucs opening game as last week vs Dolphins was postponed due to Irma.  Chicago is coming in off a loss to Atlanta last week 23-17 in a game they were surprisingly competitive in with Mike Glennon looking much better than expected.

Tampa comes in with high hopes in what many believe will be a playoff season for the Bucs.  Their offense looks to be a force this season behind second-year quarterback Jameis Winston and big play receiver Mike Evans.  Jacquizz Rodgers will get the start in the place of suspended running back Doug Martin.  I’ve got Tampa’s offense with a good chance to put up big numbers against this Bears defense.

Bears quarterback Mike Glennon played decently last week going 26 of 40 for 213 yards and a touchdown.  When paired with rookie breakout running back Tarik Cohen it allowed the Bears to play a competitive game with the defending NFC champion Atlanta Falcons having a chance to win the game with a first and goal to go ahead in the final minutes of the 4th quarter.

This game serves to let Tampa show the rest of the NFC know they are here to compete.  I think the offense puts up big numbers and have this total close to 47.

The current total on the game is 43 so I am taking the over for this NFC week 2 matchup.

Tampa Bay-Chicago OVER 43 is play for week 2.
