    Nebraska Learning How to Lose

    Hail Marys are soul crushing but they nip even the best of teams from time to time. BYU got the best of them in Lincoln to give them a blemish in a home opener for the first time in eons. The newest approach should have the entire coaching staff going back for a math primer. Ahead by six, the Huskers had the ball at the Illini 27 with 55 seconds left. Illinois had zero time outs meaning that even if Nebraska would take a knee that the entire field would have to be traversed with fifteen seconds left. Nope, the Huskers opted to pass on third and fourth down eschewing the field goal. As everyone knows by now, Illinois made it down the field with fifty seconds left to win. Mike Riley immediately hung his players by saying the third down call was for a run. A rough first season and Nebraska should remain a fade for the month of October.

    Playoff Projections

    People love to predict whom will make it to the final dance. Four teams will duke it out after a very exciting initial season of the new playoff season. Utilizin<!--url{0}-->g various search engines, we were able to compile a consensus of whom would make it to the Cotton and Orange Bowl. Here were the four most popular options.

    Alabama (yes they are back)
    Clemson
    Ohio State (Michigan State still gets the shrift)
    Baylor

    Right off the bat we see that TCU is now projected to fall against Baylor. Also with no clear cut contender, Utah would not have enough glamour votes to get the job done from the Pac-12. The Buckeyes will continue to get in following the trail of Florida State last year. SCE football is not getting downgraded even after a slew of teams had losses this weekend.

    Ironic that a team that is probably better built to take down the playoff can not get the entry due to “pretty points”. Oregon was a thrill a minute and made for riveting television. However they could not get it done. Utah has the workman mentality but lacks for fireworks in a down Pac-12. HRWager will be with you every step of the way until this situation gets resolved. Good fortune in your wagering today and we will see you tomorrow.

    A rather delicate situation has been avoided by the Astros losing on the last day. Had they beat Arizona, their record would be 86-76 and would force the Yankees to win on the last day. Alas New York can still lose and host the wild card game. The winner gets to take on the Kansas City Royals. They got this game because of their one game overall league in the AL. Had they been tied then Toronto would have gotten the Wild card winner via winning the season series with KC. So it is Texas at Toronto and the Wild Card Winner at KC to open it up.

    National League

    Mets fans will have to wait a while to see their team in the playoffs in person as NY has to go to LA to open up the playoffs. Meanwhile Chicago has to go to Pittsburgh for the Wild Card but the Pirates have to face 20 game winner Arrieta in a one game series. The Cubs should be the favorite in that one. Winner of this then gets 100 game winner St. Louis. A whole lot of parity to be decided in the National League.

    Stay tuned to HRWager and get set to invest in your baseball sports knowledge. Stay tuned tomorrow as we post the odds and dole out our playoff free picks here at HRWager.

    Tuesday October 6th is the Astros at the Yankees 8PM ESPN

    Wednesday the 7th is the NL Wildcard Chicago at Pittsburgh 8PM ESPN

    October 8th has the Rangers at the Jays and the Wild Card Winner at the Royals

    October 9th sees the Mets at the Dodgers, NL Wild Card at St Louis, and Game 2’s of the ALDS.

    Both sides had a mix of good and bad in the NFL Wagering Review for Week Four. A past moneymaking machine roared in strong again. Alas could it counter the surprise upset of a divisional leader plus an over rated NFC East team. All of this and more to review so that we can bolt from the gate when our we want to wager on the week ahead.

    NFL Wagering Review : Fulcrum in the Desert

    Not only did the desert provide a hospitable atmosphere but it allowed the St. Louis Rams to escape not only with an ATS in their pocket but a straight up victory. This tore through bankrolls like no other NFL game on Sunday. Washington winning at home was another spread and ML boon for us here at HRWager.

    Clients Get Some Back

    Everyone that clicked on password confirm for the Jags were rewarded as the Colts limped to a victory but did not cover the heavy spread action on Jacksonville. Likewise with the Packers. Who would have thought that restraining Rogers for 17 points would still allow GB to cover a touchdown spread against the 49’ers. This got the public almost back to even going into the Sunday Night affair.

    Totals were leaning on the high side for the Cowboys at the Saints. With the under crawling in, we were slight winners for Week Four but nothing compared to the blood letting that the public gave us in Week Three. Still time to catch up with the Lions at the Seahawks in Monday Night Football. The backdoor cover percentages are very great with the Lions near the ten point mark. We advise to take the points plus the Lions. Good fortune and we will see you tomorrow here at HRWager.

    Power conferences lead the way for the rapid line movements in college football that has occurred from opening until end of day on 10/5. Two Big 12 affairs lead the way. The favorite run it up school will be at it once again. Darkhorse Oklahoma has bolted from the gate strong. Finally, pit the anemic offense of Maryland and make them travel to the Horseshoe. How bad will it get in this Big Ten mismatch? Read on at HRWager to see where these lines landed today.

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/okla.jpg" alt="okla" width="600" height="150" />

    Texas Thumped Again?

    Texas in for some more trauma? It certainly appears that the betting public has taken off from where the linesmakers have set the spread. -13 has went consistently down to -17 on Oklahoma. The Sooners visit the Longhorns on Saturday and we become the flavor of the month in the Big 12. Baylor has played small schools before Texas Tech and TCU needed a tip drill to remain undefeated. On the other side of things, the Mack Brown days sure were good. They forced out a legend to get this type of team. Expect the line to move more towards the -20 level by the end of the week.

    Ohio State Monster Spread Grows

    Maryland visits OSU and the line here has gone from -28 to -33 1/2 in some markets. The reason is that the Maryland quarterback situation just strangles their offense. Daxx should get the start as at least he had some big games when he was at Oklahoma State. This is more about Elliott going off for a monster game and how many points the Buckeyes can score while holding the Terps under ten.

    Baylor Bombs Away

    No compunction is felt by a Baylor program that suffered on the wrong end of things for eons in the Big 12. Now whenever they can demolish a school they will. Kansas is one of the worst larger schools in America. +38 is now +45 for the Jayhawks. With spreads this large, one turnover or a few stalled drive is all it takes for this wager to go awry. Caution is advised and skip this one for the time being.

    The AL Wild Card between the Astros at the Yankees comes down to the pitching matchup. Dallas Keuchel is the polarizing figure in this one. As you judge how he does will color your inclination on whether the road favorite Houston team will prevail Why is it that the New York as the underdog has the advantage in the viewpoint of HRWager. Let us examine why a dual Dallas Diagnosis will get us to the profit land today.

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/yanks2.jpg" alt="AL Wild Card Free Pick" width="600" height="150" />

    AL Wild Card Pick

    Having a twenty game winner in your stable and able to pitch for your team is supposed to be a boon. However, despite his stellar stats, Dallas Keuchel will not be up to Tanaka’s standards tonight. For one thing, Dallas is very polarizing in where he pitches. At home, he is near invincible. On the road he has proven to be mortal. Normally even this might not be a grand concern as he has held the Yankees scoreless over his last sixteen innings. All of this pales in comparison to the final point which is :

    Three Days Rest

    Here we have a pitcher never having had to pitch on three days rest required to do so for the season. The human body reacts oddly when stressed and excited. Adrenaline courses in and causes a pitcher to over throw. Early balls will be hittable by being high. Now after that wears out, the balls will be coming in a tad slower. This combination will put him at a level below the Japan playoff tested Tanaka. Here is the edge that the books missed in bestowing Houston favorite status.

    HRWagers Free Pick for the AL Wild Card Free Pick is the Yankees. Take the home under dog and bring it to the bank. Good fortune and we will see you tomorrow here at HRW’s Blog.

    Our NFL Early Lines piece is going to evaluate which of the lines that saw rapid movement early are still worthy of your attention. Most of the time shifts from the opening bell are the results of sharp money deeming a situation that is ripe with investment potential. Here are some that we concur and eagerly advise you to hop on board now before the price decreases further.

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/pac.png" alt="pac" width="600" height="150" />

    NFL Early Lines : Soup Du Jour is St. Louis

    Rams go in and pop the Arizona Cardinals in the desert and now all are in love with their potential. This is the second week in a row they are on the road and they go into Lambeau field against the ATS perfect Packers. Green Bay has been the money making machine for the public yet the line has gone from -10 to – 8 1/2 in some locales. Are advice is to hop on the Packers right now! Green Bay is a known quantity while the Rams are road weary with the jury still out on them.

    Buffalo Across the Board

    The Bills defense is not living up to hype after restraining Luck in Week One. Now they roll into Titan’s home turf in a complex situation. When this team is short on team, they go pass happy and can move the ball. Traditional offense for the Bills is not working well. However, rookie quarterbacks not with the last name of Marino will go up and down. Buffalo knows how to rattle cages with exotic and aggressive blitz packages. The line is all over the place from the opening – 3 on Buffalo to the -2 in some shops. Go with the Bills because of the turnover potential converting into much needed easy points for the Bills.

    Highlight games are great for consuming mass quantities of food but not for profit. We have a good Green Bay game and the possibility of a chip Bills vs Titans affair. However our two free picks are rock solid here. Good fortune with them and we will see you next time here at HRWager.

    HRWager has come back with our Free Pick to Profit with for your 10/10 college football schedule. In our sights is the Miami (3-1) Hurricanes at the Florida State Seminoles (4-0). Another undefeated season is underway for FSU but the ACC is no walkover this year. With Clemson coming up in November, the Seminoles could coast to that game if they win tonight at 8PM. The spread has finally dipped below that touchdown mark. Are the Hurricanes our pick as well as the overwhelming public’s choice?

    Free Pick : The Bearcats?!

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/fsu2.jpg" alt="NCAA Free Pick" width="600" height="150" />

    At least they have had over a week to recover from a perplexing loss at Cincinnati. The suspension of two safeties for a half propelled the Bearcats to an excellent first half. Now with their entire unit available for the whole game, can the complexities that the Hurricane defense can throw at you stop the Seminoles. It might not be that important as we are going the totals for this one.

    Jailbreak for Miami

    This will be by far the sternest test for the FSU defense as well. Miami has the short passing game that opens up all the other dimensions of their game. They will need to parlay this into big play potential early because this team is putrid in third down situations. 13 of 53 translates into the fact that they must jailbreak for their offensive output. They have done so in scoring over thirty points a game in three out of their four outcomes.

    So did the Seminoles retain enough talent on the defensive side to prevent these mini collapses? The NFL has taken its toll in recent years on Florida State. Even if Miami were to get a big lead, their own defense has let it lapse also. The total is 51 and we like the over for our Free Pick here. Good fortune and we will talk to you later here at HRWager.

    With a ML near the -250 mark, will our MLB Free Pick still be on Arrieta and the Cubs for Game Three of the NLDS. After all, the shutout in the wild card game came against the historically choking Pirates. St. Louis is another beast all together. We will see how Chicago does against Wacha and see if the RL is the play or should we parlay something with the Cubs!

    The 6PM game features Michael Wacha whom has had legendary performances in playoffs past. This season he has an over six ERA and looked even worse against Chicago. Here are just a sampling of how some of them have done against Wacha. Rizzo and Castro are both 10 for 22 each with a combined four home runs against him. Even Braynt at third base has a double and triple against him. Only Montero has really struggled against him being 2 for 15. These numbers do not just go way because the playoffs have suddenly arrived.

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/cubs2.jpg" alt="cubs2" width="600" height="150" />

    Burned Their Game Four Starter

    Not only has St. Louis get to face Arrieta in Game Three but St. Louis burned their starter for Game Four! Garica had to leave the second game due to a stomach ailment. Cardinals brought in Lance Lynn for an inning of work. He is projected to start on Tuesday but this is extremely risky. Who knows how damaging this is when we seem him but it can not be positive expectation for him.

    Why risk the ML chalk of -255 or so? The RL is on the table for Game Three. Also the series price of -170 for the Cubs is great. Not only do you get Arrieta in that but the Cardinals game four pitching is now worse to wear. So whether you wager the series or the runline for Game Three on Chicago we wish you good fortune here at HRWager.

    By the time the smoked cleared on the Steelers gamble, most people could not comprehend how it happened. By all logical thought, everyone expected the game to go into over time where the Steelers +4 line would be taken out of the equation. Instead, who knew that Mike Tomlin had that much riverboat gambler in him. HRWager is going to review what has to be one of the oddest plays in all of football wagering history.

    Steelers Gamble

    An odd drive by all accounts started with a normal kickoff out of the endzone. However, this is when the person at the helm of the clock decided to go full steam ahead. Over ten seconds ticked off and no one noticed. Did not matter until the end as the Steelers went down the field. Pittsburgh go it down to the one yard line with five seconds left when this happened.

    The Wagering Experience

    This is the kind of action that one desires with the world of sports investment. A stirring moment that dashed the hopes of the backers of the Chargers ML. A lot of people laid heavy chalk on the theory of the second string quarterback. Combine that with the east team traveling that far out west was too much for them. Those that had the Steelers ML as the underdog were dancing in the street as lighting struck on that final bell. Congrats to those that cashed and this is why you bet at HRWager Charger’s fans. That free play in your pocket for your deposit keeps you in the game when Mike Tomlin rips it away from you. Good fortune to your bets today and we will check back later here at HRWager.

    Brand names prevented a burial as the public and the books ended up in a split decision for NFL wagering. Brand names buttered the bread of the masses. Afternoon into evening fueled HRWager’s comeback. The result was a near draw between the two. We will review what propelled Joe Six Pack and how this trend could continue into next week!

    Pound Green Bay and New England

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/ne.jpg" alt="ne" width="600" height="150" />

    Big quarterbacks that can still sling it on the vertical plane took the action. Green Bay is still perfect against the spread but they needed the afterburners. Multiple interceptions by Rogers almost did the spread in for them at Lambeau. Brady blasted the Cowboys off the field for two of the more straight forward cashes in a while. It was when when the masses deviated from this equation did HRWager recoup these losses.

    Lions 2 : 1 in Action

    The flinch factor caused many to go off of the Cardinals this week. People poured money on Detroit and it did not go well. Same with the Giants as Kaepernick exploited the injured New York defense to cover but not win. Finally, people pegged Peyton as laying over this year. They strolled into the up and coming Raider and did enough to cover the – 4 1/2 points. Now lets look ahead to see where the value is in Week Six.

    Ten is proving to be a tough nut to crack. This is the ceiling for the San Diego at Green Bay game. The line went from – 9 1/2 but is standing resolute at ten. Meanwhile, Indy might prove to be the sparring partner for the Patriots as NE visits them for Sunday Night Football. Most of the action has been on Brady as the line of -7 is at -7 1/2 to -8 1/2 offshore. Good fortune in betting these brand names and we will have more free picks to plunder later in the week here at HRWager.

    Our MLB wagering department here at HRWager has been debating the merit of Cueto when it comes to this particular moment in time. Kansas City has the momentum and experience headed into this one. Fueled by their ace, it is surprising that the line is only near -140 against the young gun Houston Astrsos! Find out which way the winds blow so we can set sail to the profit land on 10/14.

    MLB Wagering : Cueto’s Contract

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/kc3.jpg" alt="MLB Wagering" width="600" height="150" />

    Past performances have not gone well for Johnny in the playoffs. 0-2 with an over five earned run average has only one silver lining. Perhaps he has found his bearings both in the AL and with the Astros. He yielded four runs but went out strong earlier in the series. Looking dominant after that, he retired twelve of the last fourteen he faced. Now he has major money to pitch for tonight. Close it out strong and people will forgive past transgressions. His free agent status will be much stronger with a clutch win tonight.

    Collin McHugh Finding Form

    September was not kind in terms of consistency for Astros’ pitcher Collin McHugh. Up and down for most of the month has not prevented him from finally finding form in October. He shut down almost all of the Royals. The power got to him as he gave up two home runs but that is not the concern here. It is how does he temper a KC team that is 9-1 in their last ten elimination games. Furthermore, the Royals can still produce runs by a variety of means. This is the difference in the game.

    Pressure causes the big swing to slow down just enough. With Cueto pitching for contract status, his postseason blues will be put behind him for one game. The price is near -140 and should be taken on the home team. Get this sports investment in right now and prepare to plunder the profit. Good fortune and we will talk to you tomorrow here at HRWager.

    Tennis betting remains extremely profitable as 2015 is winding to a close. The top players are getting into form for the season end championships in London. With the men’s tour in Asia, the Shanghai Masters has even some of the elite flocking to it. How did Novak and Andy Murray perform? Who else is pinging our radar and begging to be bet on? All of this and more right now here at HRWager.

    Novak Exceeding Spread Lines

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/nad.jpg" alt="Tennis Betting" width="600" height="150" />

    Djokovic took down Beijing last week in easy fashion. He was a consistent money maker who wagered on him minus the spread. When you give up only eighteen games in five matches, no lines can be set to meet that level of mastery. He has extended it to Shanghai. Feliciano Lopez is no slouch but was dismantled in short fashion 6-2 and 6-3. Unless you have one weapon that can overwhelm him, Joko will just steam roll over the more solid players. He is still a buy or pass in spread wager depending on how high the number is. If you value money, I would not fade him this week.

    Murray Back After Rest

    Davis Cup takes so much more out of a player than just the effort on the court. Getting the Brits to the Davis Cup Final was an exhausting effort. In fact, he has not played since that event last month. He got into a baptism of fire by facing 22 Isner aces in the second round. He had to shed the tiebreaker but came through 6-7, 6-4, and 6-4. This is impressive because Isner has been in good form as of late. This sets up a very entertaining match with Andy facing the ultra solid Berdych. He goes deep in almost every tournament but can not put up a complete effort all week long. Tomas did get past Giles Simon 6-3, and 6-3.

    Finally, Nadal is refusing to go away quietly as he slithered by Raonic 6-3 and 7-6. Not so lucky was Nishikori as Kevin Anderson blasted him off the court in two titanic sets. All this action can be viewed on the Tennis Channel and various streams on the Internet. Now is the time to hone your tennis handicapping skills to plunder the profit at the Year End Championship. Good fortune and we will see you later here at HRWager.

    Our NFL Free Pick has one stark fact in common. Both teams have been used as cannon fodder by the Arizona Cardinals. While the world was not expected by either the Bears (2-3) or the Lions (0-5), neither thought the season would be this bad. Now these two meet in a game that will be on the lower list of those set for national broadcast. Even though the media appeal might be limited, the Free Pick is so strong that we are attracted to this flame that will warm up our bankrolls. So sit back while HRWager sees which way to troll for profit this Sunday the 18th.

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/bears2.jpg" alt="NFL Free Pick" width="600" height="150" />

    NFL Free Pick : Bears on the Mend

    After going 0-3, Chicago has taken a stand and rallied for two straight wins. If Cutler eliminates his interceptions then this Bears team is at least an average team. Since his hammy is on the mend, he has four touchdowns with just one pick. This despite the fact that his options are limited due to injuries. Detroit’s defense was almost back with an impressive performance in Seattle. Since then, Carson Palmer played with them last week. Now the Lions do not have the pass rush necessary to pressure Jay.

    Almost Gone

    With Schwartz as his coach, Matthew Stafford almost had the world on a string. He put up big numbers and stay healthy. This new regime has seen him regress over the last two years. Matt used to be able to overcome shoddy footwork by having a running game and good receivers. Now he has no offensive line which yields him little in the running attack. When the pocket is in doubt, the ball sails on him. Worse yet, the teams do not even make a pretense at defending the rush. These factors gave birth to the bunches of interceptions he has let loose. Chicago is up and down in their pass rush but when you face a one dimensional threat even the average can excel.

    Home town team gets the -3 in this game. 0-16 is doable as the Lions have proved before. If the Bears season was near over then this might be the game. Alas Chicago has momentum in this one. Lions take the week off to lick their wounds over the Arizona drubbing. Go with Chicago +3 in your NFL bargain of the day. Good fortune and we will see you next time here at HRWage.

    HRWager has our NASCAR handicapping team issuing a near lock alert for the Hollywood Casino 400 on Sunday that starts at 2PM eastern. NBC will cover this so you can flip back and forth from this to football to rail your wager in the race. So join us at HRWager as we have our Free Pick for the 10/18 NASCAR event.

    NASCAR Handicapping : Fade the Pole Position

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/nascar2.jpg" alt="nascar2" width="600" height="150" />

    A toothless rule was turned into a game changer. Back in August, NASCAR was determined to put some bit to the infractions that the teams were amassing. So they ruled that when you get four pit infractions, you will go to the back of the line in selecting your pit position in the next race. Irony struck Keselowski hard as he got the pole position in this race but can not use it with the best pit position. He got his fourth infraction the week prior so now he has to fight traffic all race long when he refuels. Huge disadvantage for him in this one.

    Race Length

    Key to this one is the format of the length of the track. It is known as intermediate. Dictated by length, it goes from one mile to 2.4 miles. One man has consumed this format and he is Kevin Harvick. Two wins and eleven runner ups in this length sets up his success like no other here. Cash in quickly by wagering him top three or five for this one.

    We at HRWager strive to present winnable wagers to help our clients prosper. This with our ample deposit promotions and lightning fast payouts make us the desired out for sportsbook wagering in 2015 and beyond.

    Boxing news looks at one of the few constants remaining in the Sweet Science. Since Floyd retired, the boxing world is looking for the next big thing to come along. His name is Gennady Golovkin and he dismantles opponents before the final bell sounds. HRWager will examine what he did last night and hope that by following his fights that you get turned on to the profitable arena of handicapping boxing.

    Boxing News : GGG Knocks Another Out

    There are records that one can tell that are propped up. Fighters can make it near the twenty win mark without never having fought anyone of note nor power. GGG has gone past this and more. His (34-0, 31KO’s) is founded on facing comers from all corners of the world. The one limitation is that he has such prowess that the top in the world are shying away from him. He finally got David Lemiux who held the other portion of the middleweight titles. Lemiux got in essentially no offense on GGG as he was on his heels all bout long. Finally a flourish in the eight sealed the deal and scored the knockout.

    Now we have the hero that the boxing world needs. Cotto and Canelo are set to fight on November 21st. If Canelo wins, Oscar de la Hoya said he would absolutely book his man against GGG. While the fight in November will certainly be worth your wagering dollar, the GGG match with the winner would be the true fight of the decade and eclipse the Mayweather-Pacqiao fight in terms of quality.

    Some of the undefeateds should have dropped off but miracle plays and comebacks abound this last Saturday. Ann Arbor had the exclam that defined the weekend. Let us take a look at the two tiers of title contenders and where your money should lie heading into the college football playoffs. First week of November will give us the illumination to see if we were correct or not when their first ranking comes out.

    SEC Polarization

    Georgia got its head handed to them by Alabama but yet are the huge front runner to make it to the SEC Championship with two losses. Their presence in that game could provide the upset potential to shut the SEC out of the title chase. All of this hinges on the LSU-Alabama game. If the Tide takes it then the conference that ruled the roost for so many years has more than one plausible scenario on missing the entire dance.

    Iowa Undefeated?

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/iowa.jpg" alt="iowa" width="600" height="150" />

    This is the flub in scheduling such a large conference. Once in a blue moon, there is an anomoly that lets a second tier team run the table like this. No Michigan, MSU, or Ohio State on the schedule for the 7-0 Hawkeyes. This would be the weakest march to an undefeated schedule left for a Power Five School. The only caveat is that the Big Ten has a championship game so that Iowa will have to play someone if they make it. Maryland, Indiana, Minnesota, Purdue, and Nebraska is not exactly a murderer’s row in college football.

    We had presumed that the Pac-12 would be the conference on the outside this year but their are very real parameters that could have the SEC and even the ACC possibly being odd man out. This is part one of the title contenders in review. Part II will be tomorrow and will focus on the other Power Five possibilities that still exist. Good fortune to your wagers today and we will see you tomorrow here on HRWager.

    First part of title contenders we examined the polarization of the SEC and how Iowa might make a laughingstock of the Big Ten. This issue we will tackle the other three power conferences. Will anyone from the ACC make it? Can a utterly vanilla Utah team qualify if they lose a game? All of this and the state of the Big 12 in this edition of HRWager’s Blog.

    Gifted Big 12

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/tcu.jpg" alt="tcu" width="600" height="150" />

    We are not talking about the level of talent that either TCU or Baylor has. Essentially we are alluding to the opinion that any close team to the top of this conference will get the nod for one of the four playoff spots. The committee will not risk having the same Power Five conference being shut out twice in a row. Benefit of the doubt even among the one loss teams goes here. So unless both TCU and Baylor lose twice, one of them will make it through to the final four.

    Pac-12

    Here is where a one loss team will not be the equal among the other conferences. Essentially a team here has to win out or be the one on the outside looking in. Stanford’s loss to Northwestern kills them even though it is early in the season. A one loss Utah squad does not have the brand name to have the ratings spike when they are on television. Cal is a decent story but are worse of a draw than the other two at this point and time.

    One loss ACC

    Florida State with one loss might be vulnerable in lieu of them making it last year. Clemson is the conferences best bet to make it through should they go down once. Geographic proximity to the SEC might lose them some points but this conference is still stronger than the Pac-12.

    So in any type of future, the Pac-12 is the conference to fade this year in playoff wagers. The big name schools are all suffering and Utah’s style is too bland for anything short of perfection to get through. Big 12 fans rest easy as this conference getting a spot is assured unless every top team has two losses. Let us see how our train of thought develops because the first official rankings come out in early November. Good fortune today and we will see you tomorrow here at HRWager.

    HRWager goes into Week Seven trying to take the pulse of the public. Two high profile fan theories are being brandied about early this week. Would have Johnny done what he did if he had tasks to keep him focused? What statistical oddity might not happen once but twice going into the Super Bowl this year. Join us for this discussion as we ramp up the coverage for Week Seven in the NFL

    Browns Must Share Responsibility

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/johnny.jpg" alt="NFL News" width="600" height="150" />

    The decision to go back to Josh McCown has not gone well in many directions. Johnny had just gotten off of his only highlight game as a pro and the coach decided to bench him. Judgment from on high said that this was for the best shot at them winning right now. Well any coach of the Browns feels that way as his short term future has been put ahead of the health of the franchise. They are 2-4 and a long way back for even a wild card yet alone catching the undefeated Bengals. Now with a forlorn and perhaps bored Manziel, Johnny does what is natural when not working hard. Fast cars, an argument, and zooming across lanes of traffic would not normally be a setback for a pro. However in the long troubled history of the Heisman Winner, it is definitely a setback. Had the coach put aside his survival instincts, a focused Manziel had a much less likely hood of reverting back to form. The Browns must share responsibility for this by their short sighted plans.

    Superbowl with Two Undefeated Teams?

    Internet banter can get out of hand as witnessed by the growing movement and speculation that we could see a pair of unbeaten teams duke it out in the Super Bowl this year. Five teams are undefeated after six weeks with at least a pair being from the same conference. The Pats have done it before and are on the top of the list to possibly do it again. Green Bay has the blessing in the NFC over Atlanta with forumville. Carolina escape after the Legion of Boom went bust in their late game coverage. Denver always seems to underwhelm when the weather gets below thirty degrees. Finally, the Bengals have yet to play a team with a winning record to test their valor against. Pleasant and a fun discussion but even one team to remain unscathed would be a long shot to behold come playoff time.

    NHL handicapping is off to a strong start for those that have tailed the Montreal Canadiens. Not only are they exceeding expectations but a difference in philosophy could translate to prolonged seasonal success. Here at HRWager, we will examine made his debut for the Rangers. All of this upcoming right now here at the HRWager blog.

    NHL Handicapping

    Dominance has been the recent trend as the Kings have taken six straight against Colorado. Besides being what is good for what ails you, let us look at what we can take from the 2-1 LA win.

    Tyler Toffoli continues to pour it on in the early going. He has always been a threat short handed and demonstrated that trait with a break away goal just a scant twenty three seconds after Colorado had tied the game 1-1. His line provided most of the offensive punch generating eleven shots on goal for this one.

    Imagine where the Kings could be at if they could convert on the power play. They win the battles in the face off circle against most. 59% was their number against Colorado. Alas this did not help them on the power play as the bagel for four chances makes their lives much harder than it needs to be. 2-3 is not where this team should be at as they can not face Colorado every game this season.

    Sixty Games

    src="http://hrwager.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/nyr.jpg" alt="NHL News" width="600" height="150" />

    New York is hoping that they can limit the scope of how many games Henrik Lundqvist has to play between the pipes in the regular season. The number they hope to go for is sixty games. For this to happen, Antti Raanta must prove to be the valuable asset that Cam Talbot was. Cam was the suitable back up but he has moved on. Now the 26 year old Antti posted a below two goals against with a .936 save percentage for the Blackhawks. This was not enough to save his spot as Scott Darling now has the back up duties in the Windy City. Raanta posted a shutout against the Sharks last night. Stopping all twenty two shots, he was never really tested despite the open ice opportunities that the Rangers sought. A 4-0 win was more than most could hope for. Look for the Rangers to maintain a high level this season when Lundqvist needs to be spelled on the odd occasion this year.

    Finally, Canada will see backbone from Montreal. Too many times when Montreal got a one goal lead, they would sit in a shell and have Price be peppered. Yes, one should rely on their best player but now they are doing things smartly. When they get the lead, they punch the accelerator to expand on it. This gives backers and bettor of the Habs equal chances to win and additional equity for the puckline to come through. Do your home work and examine the situations for the PL on Montreal instead of the ML. You should be rewarded when you decided it prudent to pull the trigger on Montreal. Good fortune in this NHL season and we will be back tomorrow for more betting coverage here on HRWager.
