  1. You're not wrong, but ... if you're doing this for fun, you should cap a sport and league you actually like. That can be (life) EV+ even if you don't make money at it. Also, the info is more public, and thus less of a grind to find (as opposed to CFB, which, among other things, entails reading through wonderful threads on small forums about how good are the reserve linebackers at, say, UTSA). And Tony is God. As you know, you can ask him.
  2. LOL, FH annoying me by beating me to the answer. There's also this: the NFL (in the US, not in the world) gets the most action. Because it gets the most action, it generates the most losing players. Because it does that, there are more people walking around saying "Can't beat the NFL" than walking around saying "Can't beat MLB." If 99 out of a 100 bettors lose at NFL, but only 9 out of 10 lose at bases, there will be a lot more people talking about how tough the NFL is. Doesn't mean it's tougher.
  3. Can we put this myth to bed, please? The books have the highest limit on NFL because they get the most action on NFL. If you take a 10k wager on NFL, you can easily balance it. If you take a 10k wager on MLS, you're stuck lopsided on the game. If the NFL is such a sharp market, why do they keep low limits on props and such? Because they can't so easily balance those bets, even in the NFL. And that's the determining factor in bet limits: the ability to balance the action. But you can show us statistical evidence that the NFL closing line, adjusted for push frequencies, is sharper than other leagues and sports adjusted for their push frequencies, if you want. I think we'd all like to see it.
  4. About the vids: Tropicana is a useful street for sports bettors. Coast (at Orleans), Stations (at WWW), MGM (at Excal--bit easier in and out than at MGM itself), Cantor (at the Trop) and WH (at Hooters) is a fairly easy drive. Other main circuit of mine is to be playing at the V (Cantor), then walking (driving this route isn't going to save you time or, even, walking) to the Wynn, TI, Caesar's (at Harrah's) and MGM (at the Mirage). I can get to these places without giving up my seat in a poker game. I can do that and run over to the LVH, too, but that's pushing it. I'm only half local to Vegas, The real betgrinders in town have their routes and even parking spots well thought out. I well remember driving a local betgrinder around once and I thought I knew exactly how to get where we were going. He said something like, "No, turn here, then .. here," and I said, "That saves you, what, 30 seconds maybe?" and he said, "Yep." They care about such things, and they're right to care.
  5. FH is one of the all-time top forum posters. Huge catch for you guys. Now do us all a favor and keep the anti-FH crowd out. Seriously.
