  1. Exactly. That said, I don't think I'm doing you or me any favors by rehashing this over and over again. Obviously, it does neither of us any good if the new 1V fails. I have an open complaint with SBR and a promise from Griffin to pay the outstanding balance. I'll let them iron it out for now. In the meantime, I wish you the best of luck in getting your monthly installments.
  2. I've had this conversation with Griff before (see below), nothing came of it--except another empty promise to pay the 7k. From: Griffin <[email protected]>Sent: Monday, March 7, 2016 9:40 PM To: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: 1VICE RELOAD YOUR ACCOUNT BONUS Tom up until this mess I paid you many times and always kept my word. Somewhere along the lines you made up your mind that I am a liar and not to be trusted. You have no real basis for that. I told you I will pay you and so I will. It does not matter too me if you believe me or not I know who I am. I am not going to commit to any time frame, sorry. But it will be done. You have already done the damage to me and to yourself with all the posting. That cant be fixed. I need to get some sleep. Good night On Mar 7, 2016 9:23 PM, "xxxxxxxxxxxx" <xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: I'd like to hear it too, especially the part where I was offered a full payment plan with less up front. Didn't happen, just a lump sum offer. What has happened twice now, is you saying that you'll pay the 7k in question, but with zero details each time. So what's your plan, Griff? I can do a long term arrangement to fit your budget--say $200 per month over 35 months. At least then I could take you serious on what has been empty promises the past few months. Do you really plan on addressing the debt that you want me to "shove up my ass".
  3. My "deal" was $5000 or nothing, so I don't apologize for taking it. Unlike others, Downsouth for example,I wasn't offered a payment plan for my full balance. I don't think SBR knew this when they posted what you quoted, and I have since updated them on my situation. The $7000 in contest winnings was fully rolled over, but I offered to do the additional 10X RO that others have had to do, even more if need be. However, 1-Vice considers my action too sharp, fearing that I would increase the 7k owed. So their solution was to take the 7k up front and pay the rest immediately. Not sure how that scores on the "Fair" range, but it is what it is. FWIW, I agree with you that those that were paid a smaller % up front should be given higher priority than my debt.
  4. Sorry your "Aunt" abused you. I thought we were talking hoops.
  5. I was starting to think you hadn't. Just saying there have been some very close calls.
  6. 8. 1997 – (1) North Carolina vs. (16) Fairfield A night on which Dean Smith tied Adolph Rupp’s 876 win total was almost ruined by a team that went 11-18 in the regular season. The Stags actually led by seven at halftime and were within three points with just 3:33 to play. UNC pulled it out, though, and won the game 82-74. Whew! 7. 1986 – (1) Duke vs. (16) Mississippi Valley State The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils led by 11 points in the second half and forced 23 turnovers in the game. All-American Johnny Dawkins brought the Blue Devils back, though, and Duke ended up winning 85-78. 6. 1989 – (1) Illinois vs. (16) McNeese State McNeese State (which I’m still not convinced is a real school) gave top seeded Illinois everything they could handle, but Illinois was able to hang on in the end, winning the game by six, 77-71. 5. 1985 – (1) Michigan vs. (16) Fairleigh Dickinson The Fairleigh Dickinson Knights led by six at the half in this one. Head coach Tom Green (not the one who starred in Freddy Got Fingered) was with the team then and is still with the team now. They ended up losing the game 59-55, but in the first year of the 64-team format, they’ll forever be remembered as the first #16 to ever really challenge a #1. 4. 1996 – (1) Purdue vs. (16) Western Carolina Western Carolina was down by just two points with the ball in the final seconds of the game. They took a three pointer that would’ve given them the lead with just a few ticks left on the clock. The Catamounts missed the shot, but grabbed the offensive rebound and had yet another chance to tie it. Unfortunately, it bounced off the back rim. One could argue that this was close as a #16 has ever been to advancing to the second round. 3. 1989 – (1) Oklahoma vs. (16) East Tennessee State 1989 was the year of the near upset. I already touched on Illinois’ six-point escape of McNeese State, and there was definitely more to come. The Sooners managed to edge East Tennessee State by one point in this contest, 72-71, despite Keith “Mister” Jennings going berserk for the upstart Buccaneers. 2. 1989 – (1) Georgetown vs. (16) Princeton Yes. TWO 16 seeds were within a single basket of knocking off #1 seeds in 1989. Princeton actually held the ball during the final seconds in this one as well. They took two shots that could have won it, but Alonzo Mourning wouldn’t have it. He blocked both attempts by the Tigers, and Georgetown held on to win the game by the skin of their teeth. 1. 1990 – (1) Michigan State vs. (16) Murray State I’ll break the suspense – Michigan State won by four. So, why is this No. 1 on my list? Because Michigan State had to go to overtime to make it happen. To this day, the 1990 Murray State Racers are the only #16 seed not to lose in regulation. The fat man competed with the body builder to the very end, and the judges needed extra time to make a decision. The Racers played one of the best games a huge underdog has ever played. I applaud them.
  7. There have been a couple of single digit games, so I wouldn't say never. In fact, I'll bet whatever you want that it eventually happens.
  8. No problem. Hope I helped with your girl trouble. If it really becomes an issue, you can always deflate her and return her to the back of the closet.
  9. Why spend time worrying about problems you'll never have?
  10. I think they will just be using a younger man to play the role. The new ads will likely be similar to the current theme.

  12. Agree, Kasich win his home state. Not sure it speaks to the intelligence of Ohio residents.
  13. I get your point, 1V might not be in business in 9 months. Maybe 1V did me a favor by not offering the full payment option they gave you. Time will tell.
  14. Funny that you mentioned this, because he repeated the same promise to me yesterday. However, he won't commit to a timetable. This conversation began because I got the same deposit bonus email that RichSox24 received, despite asking Griff repeatedly to take me off his advertising. I should post the exchange of emails we had (I still might), but I'll give the "cliff notes". Knowing that money is tight there, my offer was for 35 monthly payouts of $200 each to erase my 7k debt. I thought it was fair considering that I got more upfront than most. It would likely make me the last one paid off, assuming they lasted another 3 years--which seems highly unlikely now. I thought it was a fair offer.
  15. With 1-Vice, "Sharp" means anyone up on them lifetime. And half of what I was up with 1V were contest wins here and at MadJacks ($5000 college football regular season win). Without the bonus, a full juice Book like 1V would be very difficult to beat, although they did have some soft prop odds. I didn't play steam there, but 1V would often take a position on certain NFL games that you could unload on (and offset elsewhere if so inclined). So rollover wasn't that hard to do there (especially if you could hedge at reduced Books like 5D and Heritage).
  16. Then thank your lucky stars they don't want you.
  17. Egg Zack Lee. My only option was to take a 5k settlement. No payment plan on the rest of my balance was ever presented. And certainly no offer to rollover any part of my balance because I'm considered "Sharp". However, 1V would have you believe that this "Sharp" willingly gave back 7k. Can't have it both ways.
  18. Any cause for concern?: Online sportsbook 5Dimes caught up in Costa Rica money laundering probe By: calvinayre.com Published: Mar 3, 2016 Costa Rica-based online sportsbook 5Dimes has been caught up in a money laundering probe that also involves a director of the country's national bank. This week, Costa Rican media outlet Nacion.com reported that Marisol Carvajal Cordero, a 35-year-old local listed as the manager of 5Dimes, had been connected to companies whose Banco de Costa Rica (BCR) accounts were abruptly closed in November after the bank was unable to verify the source of the funds in the accounts. The report claims Carvajal -controlled companies based in Malta and Dubai transferred a total of $1.53b in 2014 to BCR accounts. Some of this $1.53b was transferred to 5Dmes's parent company, Red Planet SA, which Carvajal also heads up. The BCR claimed it was unable to resolve the volume of the transferred funds with Carvajal's managerial status. Around $67m was transferred from Caravajal's accounts to Latinamerica Trust & Escrow Company SA (Latco), a company ostensibly set up to handle real estate administration in Costa Rica. The $67m was moved in 25 transfers from the Malta and Dubai companies via banks in Germany, Spain the UK and the United States. Around 30% of the funds deposited with Latco were forwarded to accounts in Panama and Peru, while 67% were transferred to Latco accounts at other CR banks and the remaining 3% was distributed via cashier checks. Lawyer Manfred Pino reportedly holds the vast majority (87%) of Latco's shares, while his wife controls the rest. Jennifer Morsink, a BCR director, is listed as Latco's treasurer. In a followup report, Pino told Nacion.com that the probe was the result of a personal feud between Morsink and BCR president Paola Mora Tumminelli. Pino claimed Mora suspected Morsink of being the author of an anonymous conflict of interest complaint filed against Mora last September, two months before the accounts were closed. Pino claims Mora personally warned him that the bank would launch the probe unless Morsink fessed up to being the author of the complaint. Pino also claimed that the bank's claim of inadequate documentation involving the Malta and Dubai companies was due to Pino only having been given 72 hours to produce the necessary documents. It's important to note that Costa Rican officials have yet to file charges against anyone connected with this probe. But 5Dimes' plight reflects the increasingly ridiculous hurdles that American sports bettors must negotiate in order to fund their entertainment choices, all because US authorities can't seem to disabuse themselves of outdated notions of the morality of sports betting. This is the second time Costa Rica's online gambling industry has been connected with a money laundering probe in as many weeks. Late last month, Western Union revealed that US federal authorities were probing the company's transactions with online gambling firms, including at dozens of WU agent locations in Costa Rica. 19. I haven't done my 2015 taxes yet. So can I claim the $7000 1-Vice stiffing against my winnings for 2015? Or do I have to apply the 7k theft to possible 2016 winnings?
  20. At least we agree on this. My accountant comment was out of bounds and I apologize. Heat of the moment I guess.
  21. Fair enough, thanks Plommer. Admittedly, I fell out of touch with TGF after 1V pulled its advertising.
  22. Never offered the payment plan, Boats. It was a lump sum only "settlement" with zero negotiation. Fact.
