He made some decent throws in that first quarter. He has the physical talent of a QB but his decision making sucks and I believe the pregame pundits before the Broncos game last night put it best "his wrecklessness with the ball is getting old" and as teammates that starts to seep into the locker room. You can go 25-29 and 350 yards for a nice stat but then you see 3 of those incompletions were INTS in the red zone and the other was a misread on the play and receiver went one way and you went the other.

He must really have some dirt on Jerry to stick around. I cannot fathom any other sane reason to justify his roster spot year after year.

LSU -5 vs WIsconsin (-110) $110/100 Looking for this one to be a one possession game but LSU's depth and talent gets them over the hump here in week 1. A ton of young players on both teams but have to give the edge to the Tigers here. Even with two DBs out of the game for LSU, going against a new QB and letting the rest of that defense key in on Gordon will be fun to watch. WIsky will most likely get Gordon the ball on passes more this season and work Clement into the plays in the backfield at the same time. might work in the Big Ten but not so much against a fast D from Baton Rouge. Les Miles' teams make a living at stopping those outside plays in space and Gordon is mainly a downhill between the tackles runner so will play right into the Tigers' scheme here - two new DT's but talented ones and on the flip side, LSU's O Line will be one of the best this season to go along with Jennings and the stable of RB's.

Balco - I should have pounced a few weeks ago when it was still at 9 but didn't get to sit down and really go over the games until this week so missed out. I feel confident with anything 13 and below in this spot regardless. Ole Miss doesn't get enough attention since they play in the SEC West and have to deal with being overshadowed by Auburn, Alabama, LSU and last season Johnny football but they are an upstart program and the 8-5 record last season doesn't do them justice. They should have beaten both A&M and LSU last year, boneheaded mistakes cost them both games. The Egg Bowl loss to Miss St was due to the fumble going into the end zone. They lost the marque RB from last season and the WR Moncrief but are still solid with Treadwell and a talented D line to go with the fact that Bo Wallace is on pace to break records held by Manning and is a mobile threat if he can just stay healthy throughout the season, so being fresh week 1 here I like them.

Colts are the safe bet but depending on an injury here and there, Houston is right there. Can't fathom Jax or Tenn sneaking up on anyone and contending this season.

I'm staying away from this one, too many questions early. I would play the Under if anything. Badgers probably come out on top early but that LSU depth and overall player talent will win it for the Tigers. Plenty of running and lots of question marks for the LSU offense depending on who the starting QB will be to judge the offense and maybe too much early hype for the coveted RB they picked up. Does anyone know when Miles will release the initial depth chart? I know Alabama is putting theirs out for the media to mull over tomorrow morning so LSU can't be far behind. QB battles all around.
