  1. Yea they passed on 2 firsts in the offseason cause that wasn't enough  :scratch

but most of the patriot fan lemmings will still praise Belichek for a great trade  :laugh

    Apparently that was never offered

People sometimes go way too far assuming leaks and reports are 100% facts

Reports now are most Clev offered in the offseason was a 2nd round pick, wouldnt offer a 1st for Jimmy, let alone 2 firsts

  2. Why the hell did they trade there lt are they trying to get watson killed?

Cause hes been holding out for big money and i guess they arent willing to pay it\

Brown also sounded pretty unhappy with management/ownership in general and is happier out of town

  3. I realize Cavs business model is to simply have full roster entering the tournament but I think this is the year they come up short.

They for sure better hope IThomas gets on the floor soon because without him they are frankly a pretty ho-hum lineup that will struggle to stay above .500

cavs can sleepwalk to a 50 win season, even without Thomas

I think Raps are the 2nd best team in the east

  4. Guy got off easy, should have 100% been a suspension

That should be a first offense suspension but hes thrown his mouthpiece before, last time at a fan

Awesome player, overall good guy (as pretty much all nba stars appear to be, probably more so than any other sport), but he throws tantrums plenty and somehow gets off free for it pretty much every time

  5. In fact pretty sure Suns had a trade to land Kyrie that was agreed to but got nixed at the last second since Indiana GM changed his mind

    Was something like

    Kyrie to PHX

    Paul George/Bledsoe to CLEV

Bunch of young pieces/picks to IND

Only remember the main guys of the deal but it was something like that. Season would look very different as no PG to OKC which probably means no Melo to OKC either

  6. But rebuilding in the west is much harder than in the east. No quality free agent will want to sign with a bad team.

A team like Phoenix isnt going to rebuild through FA anyways though

They need to rebuild through the draft like Twolves. And then, with the help of some lottery luck, you can attract some high end FA's once you build your foundation with guys like Towns and Wiggins

Its hard and its never a sure thing. Not only do you need some luck winning the lottery but you need it in the right year(s) (ie dont get the #1 pick when its Andrea Bargnani or Anthony Bennett), then you need that guy to stay healthy unlike the terrible luck the Sixers have had to develop him properly

  7. Im usually the type that thinks coaches in sports get fired waaaaaay too quickly, usually with very little logic behind it other than we didnt get as far as we want to (should always judge the process instead of the result)

But in this case the process looked horrific, i dont blame this firing at all. I wouldnt care about he 0-3 start, in fact if im the owner or GM i am happy about being 0-3. In the NBA its much better to be a 20 win team than a 34 win team. THen you just need to get lucky in the lottery draw and nab a franchise changer (a couple potential guys like that in the upcoming draft)

BUT it wasnt just losing, it was flat out being embarrassed and the lack of effort youd see on defense was mind boggling. Its like a shootaround for the opposing teams just stand there and shoot wide open shots all game with nobody even pretending to contest. You can have a bad roster and lose games, thats not bad coaching. But the product Suns were displaying, esp this early in the year? Thats bad coaching

  8. Also, if kyrie has a season ending injury they would miss playoffs. Tripp, let’s not be ridiculous

Stevens would get the absolute most out of that roster

Lots of bad teams in the east also. Brooklyn, Chicago, Atlanta, Indiana, New York, Orlando

Then you have Detroit, Charlotte, Miami, Philly, Boston (sans Kyrie) all competing for four playoff spots and only one would miss out. Really 40 wins would likely get in

  9. actually think if Washington can get some help from their bench, they can compete with Cleveland. That teams starting 5 is really really good.

    their bench gets decimated though

Cleveland got deeper this year...if IT is healthy and in form for the playoffs they are better than last year

I know benches get shortened in the playoffs but you need some production. Wash would have been in the conf finals last year if they had even a mediocre bench
