As Joey stated, whether you pay cash or are going to finance, it makes no difference to the guy who is deciding what to let the vehicle go for.

 

And as WVU stated, if anything, they would rather you finance the vehicle.  Let's take Honda for instance.  If you qualify, American Honda Finance will carry your loan.  So that is more $$$ to Honda in the long run. 

 

Another tip.  NEVER buy the extended warranty they try to hard sell you.  NEVER.  

The extended warranty got me a new engine, not good advice.

If you walk into a dealership and say you want their best deal on a car and you are between two at competiting dealerships, of course you will get the best deal (if you have it financed it beforehand).
