btw--it looks like FanDuel has omitted the Monday night game from their weekly standard contests. I notice they sent a press release a few days back. Contest is for Sunday games only.

Mid-way through last football season I went back and looked at my DFS records. I realized that my average score had risen by several points compared to two years ago but that I was losing more matches. I realized that the pros had totally taken over the big DFS sites and I stopped playing. I'll put myself up agains an educated recreational player any day of the week, but I'm not a pro and I'm not going to win playing pros. I withdraw all my money from FD and DK, except for a pittance and that was that.

It's a pain that FanDuel insists that number of contestants be pre-determined. Once entries are accepted, no editing is allowed for the contests, so I can't change it to accommodate a lower number. Anyone know of a simpler way to do this? I'd be happy to try to keep something going if there's interest.

It doesn't matter to me how we settle up, I was just trying to keep it simple for the winner.

Hey Guys, I have fairwarning's email so those who were in last Sunday's contest can pay him via PayPal. I don't think I can email people via FanDuel, and I'm not sure who's who with various user names and such, so I'll probably go ahead and post the email here, but I want to double-check with fairwarning first to make sure that's okay with him. Should I go ahead and set this up again for Sunday? I think we can get 6 people pretty easily, but anything above that will be hit or miss. Should I set it up for 6 people, winner take all? Or do those who are likely to play prefer that the top 3 spots pay out?

I don't remember the last time I've seen so many players injured in a single week.

I often don't even look until Monday, otherwise it can potentially ruin my game-watching on Sunday. I hate when I have a player in one league that I need to do great, but I need the same player to tank in order to win another league. Crazy-making. I set my line-up and walk away until Monday. I often don't even know which owner I'm playing till after the fact.

lol--I'm Seattle this weekend and just tried to submit my line-up. I totally forget DFS is illegal in WA! Well, I'm going to try and have someone I know back in CO submit my line-up for me. I'll keep trying to fill-up spots, but my spot might be open!

Yeah, I don't really like it either, but once the season starts, probably not fair to change it. If we re-convene next season, we'll choose a different alternative.

NFL.com, yahoo, espn--the big three all work this way. You can set them however you want, but if you do nothing this is the default setting.
