My biggest thought is that Group A is a total mess. In any other group, I'd probably be fading Uruguay, but the stars are really aligning for them to win this group. Egypt looks like crap without Salah, and don't think that an 70% Salah is enough to save them. Then again, I hate Russia at these prices, and Saudi Arabia is nothing to write home about (but might be undervalued). Back to capping these friendlies the next few days and refreshing twitter and google every 2 minutes for Paolo Guerrero news...

Lots to like about this group...been high on Sargent for the past 18 months, Weah is a future stud, Robinson showed me a lot to like, McKennie looks better every time I see him, Rubin getting back to form, etc. Basically, everything except for Julian Green, who should just sigh with the Tampa Bay Rowdies tomorrow so as to avoid the middle 10 years of Freddie Adu’s career.

I really don't like Uruguay that much, but Russia is ridiculously over-valued, Saudi Arabia is crap, and I'm coming to grips with the fact that I burned $ playing Egypt (especially if this injury is at all serious, which it looked like it could have been). Hopefully Morocco gets as lucky as Russia with their draw in 2026...
