That is incredibly misleading because the effective tax rate was much lower because everything was deductible. Nobody ever paid 50%.

My wife worked her way through college at Tony Roma's. I ate it a couple times a week and that onion loaf was amazing

The highest marginal tax rate being floated around by a certain DEM is repulsive to me. I don't think income should be taxed at all.  I started to think about who would actually have to pay it (applies on income...not capital gains...of over $10 mil). The two groups I could think of are athletes and Hollywood. Sign me up. The comedy of watching my alleged moral superiors paying upwards of 80% tax (state tax included) would be 100% worth it for me in entertainment value alone. LBJ, Stephen Colbert and friends would change their tune in a NY minute.
