    Don't laugh you hard core football gamblers but once the long tennis season was up I was up...you know how much? Well, like, no exactly 36 units. It is a long season but it can be profitable. The 2017 tennis season will begin in a week. Check for my tennis picks once the season begins and I can not promise a +36 unit season but it usually is profitable.

    BYU vs BOISE ST,

    BYU’s losses against Utah (1 point) and UCLA (3 points) don’t look as good as they once did with both of teams struggling this year. The same can be said with their 2 point win against Arizona. The Cougars have been out gained in 4 of their 6 games overall. Their running back, Jamaal Williams is ranked 4th in the nation with 134 yards a game, but QB Taysom Hill is ranked 87th in passer rating. The Broncos will stack the box and force Hill to beat them through the air which I don't’ see happening. Hill has thrown 5 interceptions while on his own side of the field and has only a 114 QB rating on 3rd downs.

     

    Boise State’s Brett Rypien has 9 TD/0 INT mark his last 4 games. He has a 159 QB rating on 3rd downs. He has a 192 QB rating in the red zone. BYU is ranked #100 in pass defense this year and I see this Boise State team being the more well rounded offensive team with a running and passing game on offense. I am looking for a final score in the 38-20 range as the Broncos home field is huge here and BYU’s brutal schedule finally takes a toll on them. (Brandon Shively)

    John Lester is simply dealing in the postseason.  He has allowed just a single run in October and enters tonight with a WHIP of 0.71.  He has been pitch-efficient, only walking a single batter while fanning eight.  I like him to continue where he left off and to leave Dodger fans wondering (loudly) why oh why they left Kershaw on the pine.
