  1. There's gotta be a system out there to turn that $1700 into $3400.
  2. Sat 1/21/16 Just playing the two Levine horses today, for his lower keyed owners. Hopefully one of these bad angles starts clicking as I'm fast approaching my shut down figure of $2,000. Good luck to anyone playing today. Race 2 $20 WIN #5 Sabrina Ballerina 7/2 Race 9 $20 WIN #3 Luckybuck Syndrome 12-1 $40 bet 3-71, -$1322
  3. Fri 1/20/16 Race 5 $20 WIN #2 Johannesburg Smile 12-1 Some very nice back class on this 10 year old. Only run twice for Chatterpaul since the claim, and was vs much tougher than in here. Layoff is a concern, but if any of that class is left in this animal AND it's healthy, it should be able to handle this claiming field. Also playing a $2 exbx 1-2. $24 bet. Race 6 $20 WIN #9 Ganador 30-1 Another old timer trying to regain some old form. Was competitive in Allowance races all 2015 in NY, then tanked in a claimer off a long layoff. Hoping he needed that one and will be more competitive today. Barker blows up the board here every now and then and I haven't been able to catch him....yet. $20 bet. Race 7 $20 Win #9 Union River 15-1 Owner Sulley moved this one from the underachieving Sciacca to the sharp Parx trainer Farro. Definite upgrade so good enough for me. $2 exbx keying 9/1,5. Interesting jockey carousel with the 1, the 5, and the 8(SCRATCHED). $28 bet. Race 8 $20 WIN #1 Moondance Joy 6-1 Back when Galluscio died, Winning Move shipped some horses to Klesaris and had some really good success. Then they stopped giving him horses for whatever reason. Now they show up together, first off the claim. An old Winning Move staple. Adding a $2 DD 1/4,9,11. $26 bet. $98 in action, chasing $1224
  4. Stewart is an ultra Lib and I can't stand his comedy, BUT he fought hard for the passing and renewal of the Zadroga Act for 9/11 First Responders. So I gotta love him for that.
  5. Didn't see it. Sick of chasing bad angles so taking a week off.
  6. I love how, in the bar scene, they're all drinking from red Solo cups.
  7. I play Gulf sparingly. Tried it last year and got my teeth kicked in, so Im a little wary. The turf and the full fields are enticing, though!
  8. Never sniffed the lead. Beat goes on. 3-67, -$1224
  9. Race 9 Gonna bet $20 WIN # 7 Sunset Samurai, for my main man Ferraro. Not off the usual short rest, but drops from Special Weights. Maybe Garcia gets him to relax on the lead.....
  10. -$31. Meet is kicking my a$$. 3-66,-$1204
  11. Sunday 1/15/16 Race 4 $2 DD 1,4,5/5 $1 P3 1,4,5/5/8 Race 5 $20 WIN #5 Over My Head 10-1 Dont know if we'll get the 10-1 after some scratches, and I'll probably regret betting a horse like this who doesn't like to win, but his last few races he looked like he was poised to get over the hump. He didn't, but has been running good enough to keep me interested with the slight drop. Morrison is an old favorite of mine who unfortunately just does not get the good horseflesh anymore. He'll most likely be over looked here even with the scratches, so maybe goes off in the 7-1/8-1 range? Also playing a $2 DD 5-8. $31 bet. Record: 3-65, -$1173
  12. Caught the ex in race 5, still lost money. -$23. 3-65, -$1173
  13. Sat 1/14/16 Race 1 $20 WIN #1 Gamblers Ghost 5-1 Gargan's Midwest runners haven't been getting the job done here, so I'll try one for different owners. Horse ran great last out at Parx off a three month layoff. Parx is a very difficult place to win at on the lead, so to me his race off long rest there was impressive. The NYRA Pro's(Serling,Stone,Munick etc) make a habit of insulting Parx form, it's kind of become the thing to do with the In Crowd. Yes, the takeout there is terrible and the pools are tiny, but the horses are competitive when shipping and the trainer's are super sharp, in my opinion. Farro just missed here the other day, and both Linder and Reid have pulled big upsets here this meet. Ignore Parx form at your own peril. Keying in an exbx for $2 1/4,6. $28 bet. Race 5 $20 WIN #5 Grasshoppin 20-1 Serey has been tearing Parx up the last couple of months. The alarm bells are probably going crazy in the NYRA VETS OFFICE, but maybe Serey catches them sleeping and sneaks a live one past them. Backwheel in Ex for a buck, ALL/5. $25 bet. $53 in play, chasing the ugly record of 3-63, -$1150
  14. Thanks for the picks. I enjoy following along.
  15. Never heard of him. Might he go by any other names?
  16. Race 1 $20 WIN #7 Funny Surprise 20-1 Since Repole moved this one from Pletcher to J.Englehart, the horse has three places and a W in four starts. If you scroll up in the thread, you'll see Englehart did something very similar with a Valente owned horse, Pretty Enough, who ripped off six straight wins for him. Secret sauce? Who knows? But Englehart has a history of drastically improving horses new to his barn, so figure it's worth a twenty. Backwheeling in exactas for a buck as well. $28 bet. Race 7 $20 WIN #1 Rockford 6-1 Still waiting for the Gargan/Midwest explosion at Aqu. Since it hasn't happened yet, prices on their horses remain generous. They're running good so far, just not quite good enough. Midwest has a history at Tampa with hockey Gallardo, and I don't think he's had a win for them here yet, so I think it's a matter of time before they put him on one that's LOADED. $2 Ex 1/2,3,7 and a big pick three reach for a buck, 1/ALL/4. $37 bet. Good luck to all playing! $65 bet, chasing -$1086(3-61)
  17. That looks like Roosevelt Ave in Jackson Heights. You couldn't pay me to enter that establishment.
  18. Second best. -$32. Now chasing -$1086.
