  1. Sorry, you're right. There is a missile silo outside of Tucson you can actually tour if you're ever that way. Titan Missile Museum https://titanmissilemuseum.org/
  2. Awesome. Let me know how it is. That's the only one of the three A Bomb sites missing for me. I was very fortunate and was able to get a special tour of Los Alamos five years ago. I got to see the world's strongest magnet in action. https://nationalmaglab.org/about-the-maglab/around-the-lab/meet-the-magnets/meet-the-100-tesla-pulsed-magnet/
  3. Minuteman NHS. Nice. Did you go down below and take the tour? I've been on a huge national park kick lately. Been to over 100 in the last few years and will hike Pinnacles in California next week.
  4. He'd probably call the cancer kids losers and say they deserved to contract it.
  5. That's been going on for well over a decade now. Iran was shooting down drones that we were flying out of Baqubah and then Macgyvering the shit out of them and sending them back up.
  6. I wonder how much longer VFWs will be around. I don't know any vets in their 30s or 40s that go to them. Lot of guys just want to dissociate as soon as they finish their service
  7. You're dating yourself Fish. It's old heads talking about this stuff and getting all hot and bothered about it. Lot of young folk don't care
  8. Baby bears up there don't give a fuck anymore. Last time I was in the Smokies we had three babies tear apart our grill after we cooked fish on it. Mama just watched from the woods
  9. Just checked and saw that Monkey has responded to five straight posts of mine even though I've had him on ignore for months. That is the definition of rent free. I couldn't care less about anything he says, he's not a serious person. Meanwhile, he has to respond to everything I post. Rent free 😎
  10. https://www.forbes.com/sites/mattnovak/2023/05/27/elon-musk-shares-fake-voltaire-quote-actually-from-neo-nazi/ Too perfect. No notes.
  11. Second time in the last 24 hours the dude has been flagged for misinformation by his own site. Beautiful

  13. "Smartest man in the world" can't even run a conference call.
  14. Definitely not sure if he was a white supremacist or not. Who's to say?
  15. It's something else. I think it's most common in either the deep country or the inner city. People just stay in their little communities and don't want to step outside them. I've heard of people being lifelong residents of NYC that never ventured further than Jersey
  16. Yeah, she had gone to Florida often, it was just NC that she had never been to.
  17. "Free speech absolutist"
  18. You might be surprised at how insular some people are. I briefly dated someone that was in her late 20s, lived in Georgia her whole life and had never been to North Carolina. Couldn't believe it. Its not like she was in South GA either, she lived in Marietta.
  19. Sorry to tell you, but Coors is LGBTQ+ friendly too. https://www.glaad.org/advertising/library/did-you-know LGBTQ+ media advocacy organization GLAAD described Coors as "among the most progressive for its employee policies toward gays" and had been advertising in gay publications since the 1980s.
  20. I think you'd be surprised at the huge number of "Disney adults" there are that move to the area from all over the country. There are whole subdivisions around Disney that now cater to Disney adults.
  21. https://www.usatoday.com/story/graphics/2023/03/20/sargassum-seaweed-beaches-florida-caribbean-mexico/11427906002/ If you’re heading to a beach in Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, or the Caribbean this summer, you may find yourself stepping over part of the massive Great Atlantic Sargassum Belt – enormous mats of brown seaweed washed up on shore after floating for months in the ocean. Even if you don't walk on it, it may affect your beach stroll. Sargassum rots after it washes ashore and produces hydrogen sulfide gas, which smells like rotten eggs and can irritate your eyes, nose and throat. Large amounts of Sargassum are projected to hit the Gulf Coast shores, including Florida, this summer. Though the "seaweed season" is March through October, it started appearing ahead of schedule in the Key West area and in Cancun, Mexico.
  22. Pretty much what I've heard from everyone I know still in the Orlando area. DeSantis is pissing off a lot of his constituents with his Disney stupidity. Florida is a state that relies on tourism. Disney will be even more powerful and popular among tourists in a few months when a lot of the beaches are forced to shut down. DeSantis should be focused on finding a way to combat Trump if he really wants to win the presidency. Going after the Mouse is a losing battle.
  23. Vitaly remains the only reason to check this forum on a daily basis. Congrats on another winner.
