Hmmmm the information from the Decatur, GA website is a little old (2018). Let's give Gmcarroll33 the benefit of the doubt and look at the most recent US Census Data for Decatur, GA as of July 2021 Oh dear.......

Decatur is as Black as it gets? https://www.decaturga.com/ed/page/demographic-information Ethnicity White 68.9% Black 21.7% Congrats my guy, you just played yourself. If you think that a city that is 21.7% Black is as "Black as it gets", you just told on yourself. Enjoy your time in Buckhead

Congrats on "know(ing) multiple black people" lol The stories are out there, you just have to go to non-white areas and talk to people. Georgia Public Broadcasting/ProPublica found that about two-thirds of the polling places that had to stay open late for the June primary to accommodate waiting voters were in majority-Black neighborhoods, even though they made up only about one-third of the state's polling places. An analysis by Stanford University political science professor Jonathan Rodden of the data collected by Georgia Public Broadcasting/ProPublica found that the average wait time after 7 p.m. across Georgia was 51 minutes in polling places that were 90% or more nonwhite, but only six minutes in polling places that were 90% white.

It's a shame that no one is really commenting in these threads. This is a fucking gambling forum and Vitaly is constantly posting winners. Of course, people would rather talk about anything other than gambling on a gambling forum.

Funny you say that, that's actually a consistent problem with new architecture. The new Rams stadium and the UCF stadium both didn't have enough water fountains and that led to hundreds of heat cats. Also, I'm not sure about the water fountain situation in Georgia, but I will tell you that there are not a lot of public water fountains anymore. Additionally, a lot of them got shut down post COVID

I worked with New American Pathways and saw firsthand the humongous pain in the ass it is to vote in Atlanta. The stories are everywhere, you just have to be willing to look for them and go to these areas. Most white people simply don't or won't. Hell, when you ask a lot of white people about Atlanta they'll just tell you about Buckhead and it's clear they know nothing about the city.

His commission got outmaneuvered by Disney. They cant do shit for 30 years barring an unlikely court intervention

Early voting lines on the weekends are 2-3 hours long. The easy answer is to make polling locations available, but the Georgia GOP doesn't want to do that. Its Tammany Hall politics. Been going on in the US for almost 200 years.

DeSantis just learned the first lesson of Florida politics the hard way. https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/os-ne-disney-new-reedy-creek-board-powerless-20230329-qalagcs4wjfe3iwkpzjsz2v4qm-story.html Don't fuck with the Mouse

The state purposely doesn't have enough polling locations in Atlanta. It's old Tammany Hall style politics. That's why it takes a lot longer to vote in Atlanta than anywhere else in the state.
-
This stems from the long lines at polls in Atlanta. It's unfortunately very common for people in some parts of Atlanta to have to wait in line for two to three hours to vote

Another easy winner, thanks

North Carolina could legalize sports betting today
HinesWard86 replied to HinesWard86's topic in Main Stage
Absolutely. 14% seems like a good number for all parties. Hopefully NC doesn't try to do what Ohio is doing. They passed the law at 10% and within two months DeWine is trying to get it doubled -

14%. Some schmuck tried to kill the bill by raising the tax rate to 51%, but it failed. -

Passes 66-45. Has to pass one more reading in the House (which should be tomorrow), and then it will move to the Senate. From what I gather, this was the last real resistance. Sports betting should be in NC on Jan 1, 2024 barring something unforeseen -

Nope, they already have a deal with betting on the property of the three tribal casinos in NC. This is for state-wide betting through apps -

Anyone calling this French Revolution 2.0 knows dick about French politics lol. This isnt anything new for Paris. There's a reason this is the Fifth French Republic. When Haussmann re-designed the city in the 1800s, one of the reasons he made these wide avenues and huge public spaces was to prevent the citizenry from throwing up barricades whenever they wanted to protest bread/taxes/etc

Have fun. If you like Arabic food, there are about 50,000 Iraqi Chaldeans in El Cajon that make some of the best Arabic food you'll find in the US.

On it, thanks
