Outside the quarter restaurants to blow you away 1)Domilise's Po-Boy & Bar, best poboy in new Orleans, the shrimp is incredible, I suggest half shrimp, half oyster 2) Jaques imos, fantastic restaurant, nothing bad on the menu. Highly recommend the blackened redfish 3)Liuzza's by the Track, incredible gumbo and the BBQ shrimp are to die for. Very close to the fairgrounds 4) Mr John's steakhouse, incredible steaks, get the onion rings appetizer 5)the joint, best BBQ in the state, go there

1)coops place - incredible jambalaya, best there is, the Cajun fried chicken is off the charts. 2) Napoleon House - fantastic drinks, the boudin sausage is awesome 3) Mr B's bistro - get the gumbo, BBQ shrimp and pork chop 4)acme oyster co on iberville - chargrilled oysters, etouffe, both incredible 5) Adolfos on Frenchman st in marigny, a few blocks north of the quarter, walking distance. Cash only, get there at 5:30. Any dish is incredible, make sure to get the ocean sauce. I have 5 other places around town to blow you away if interested
