But two things are in play: 1) RWs use socialism as a boogeyman to where it loses all meaning when centrist items get labeled socialism and corporate welfare is allowed, but programs for people are cried about 2) Default side wins when one side fails to play How hard is it to move even a bit ideologically if means you get to write more of the rules? Firm adherence is noble in theory, but reality is another story. And while I can agree with your notion that “everything keeps moving left,” the solutions we each have differ. My piecemeal/middle ground solution for conservatives would be far more effective than firm adherence to ideology.

As for those people, I’ve noticed that the more they get involved in RW outrage cycles, the more they only stick to RW points. Which is actually smart for them since that’s their base now. I used to believe that Conservatives championed the best of each of the 3 while Liberals were stuck on being too nice in a collective mindset/ Nowadays I see good old timer conservatives with tremendous wisdom (Hoffa types), angry hyper-focused types loving Gain (MF, Plb types) but Honor is def lacking all around. As far as myself, Honor is everything. Absolutely love wisdom, but it can be a trap into a boxed mindset. I should be more focused on gain with my skills, talents and abilities, but $$$ has never been my big motivator. If my novel ends up as I expect, my focus on gain will be more educational than personal profit. It’s just funny that if you assess men specifically, you can find which one of the 3 they care about most.
