Monkey, I didn't say they were closer, I said the crime data was more relevant since you posted those crime reports. Twain and paradise is a much shittier area than flamingo and koval. They are both shitty areas though as is everything near the strip. It is about a half mile to firefly from Lawry's, assuming one walks at a leisurely pace and knows the shortcuts that's 8-10 min. Add 2-5 minutes to cross the crosswalk and I get 10-15 minutes. Stage door seems closer cuz it is a straight shot and a more heavily traveled route. I only mentioned that and harbor island because those are the two worst places. In that vicinity as far as crime and where a tourist might be. No tourist, or sane person, is walking around Twain and Cambridge or Swenson/university unless they are lost or up to no good.

10-15 min walk from Lawry's to firefly, depends if you catch the pedestrian light on h Hughes and paradise. Funny they just built some nice new condos right there on Twain and paradise. Right across the street from Siegel suites behind firefly. Vegas is weird that way. Rochelle is a short cut to Harmon if you walk or drive. Expect to see the dregs of society if you take it though.

Palace station clientele is sketchy and there are some shitty weeklies right next to that as well. Across the street a ways are million dollar homes.

Not that it matters but he was shot on flamingo. They were almost at the corner of flamingo and koval at the light. They were going to his club which was on flamingo past Maryland.

I don't think Lawry's is where you think it is. You couldn't get to firefly from there by car in two minutes. It is directly across the street from Tuscany. But no need to argue. It pains me to agree with watermelon head.

Lol, I lived there years ago. Used to go to that ampm all the time. One night I walked in to get a snack and a red bull and asked the cashier how his day was. He replied I got robbed five minutes ago. Another might I was walking back on koval and saw all these police. Turns out javan walker got jumped that night.

Stage door or harbor island police reports would be more relevant to Lawry's than twain east of paradise. Firefly is the only restaurant over there that is adjacent to that area And would be a more relevant argument.

I think monkey fucjrr just likes to argue Lawry's is right across the street from Tuscany. Vegas is weird in that a lot of neighborhoods you'll see million dollar condis right next to weekly drug infested apartments. That's the case in that area, as it is downtown and a few other places.

Been to most not all. Ino, they pale I'm comparison to the really good places in kc,tx or nc. Mostly for the reasons I already stated. In a pinch I'll eat some rolling smoke or Jessie Rae's but none of these places ever wowed me.

I don't think there are any great bbq places in Vegas. Been to almost all of them and only a few are even good. There no substitute for whole hog low and slow and all the place here take shortcuts and it shows. There have been famous bbq restaurants here, namely salt lick, gates, Memphis championship bbq. All were garbage and a pale comparison of the originals. There is no place in town that makes half decent Carolina chopped bbq. Soul belly is probably the closest you are going to get but even that is nothing more than slightly above average.

Breaking news the fiesta has been moved to Champaign. They are still trying to find a sombrero big enough to fit that melon head a la parilla. Viva la Raza!

Day 10. Switched brands to cut out some carbs. Weighed in as I do every month. If you don't drink a lot of water it gets dicey with cramps and binding. Feel like I'm eating less and not as hungry. Sugar cravings were bad first few days but passed after a dull headache. Feel more energetic waking up and don't eat right away. A couple glasses of water first thing when I wake up.
