Yes he could of retired him and end it there but the owners wanted to give the fans something. It's quite noble actually. Helps the sport tremendously to have him run still. Idiotic move to run him so quickly after a grueling tc feat and then back and forth between ca nj and ny all within a short span. Been saying all along he should of been freshened until October. No one is racing the horse for the fucking fans. The contract he has with the breeders probably allows him to race up until a certain point.
