I played last year and only in larger tourneys.

From what I saw,  one of the keys was locking in value guys, who were getting key minutes due to other players being injured or resting. Then building from there. The problem is that coaches tend to keep information a lot closer to the vest and so you really have to scramble minutes before tip off to roster high value guys. A second strategy was charting depth by position each night, which could help to determine where you should spend your salary.

sites are solid, but all you should need is:

http://www.rotoworld.com/playernews/nba/basketball-player-news

and follow pace ratings (obviously harder this early in the year). Minnesota was my team last year.

picking which star is going to have a big night is the hardest part imo. usually i'll have all my values guys with a plethora of high priced guys to make sure i have all the potential big nights - putting all my eggs in the same 3-5 value guys.

This is what I'm building around tonight:

Pos Player FPPG
PG C.J. McCollum 13.0 swap out
SG Hollis Thompson 16.8 swap out
SF Andrew Wiggins 28.2 swap out
PF Taj Gibson 22.3 swap out
C Nerlens Noel 29.4 swap out
G R. Westbrook 54.3 swap out
F Rodney Hood 15.9 swap out
UTIL DeMarcus Cousins 51.0 swap out

will have ellington/bayless in a few others.

Are there correlated plays like in football, pairing pg to lead scorer?

more about getting guys with the most possessions.

playing expected minutes.

it looks like i stack from time to time - i'll have a lot of wiggins/rubio pairs tonight, but moreso because Minnesota runs and guns like crazy and those two should play heavy minutes.

MCColum really the only guy i like on the blazers tonight higher - need to see how that rotation shakes out.

gather coaching tendencies vs size and tempo with their rotations; that's really valuable info, but info we haven't had any data to observe. it's a little more of a crap shoot first week+.

What's a avg score that cashes on DK?

depends on the night - the more games, usually the slighter higher the scores.

50/50's are easy to cash

250 got you in the cash last night, and usually 250 will get you in the cash in the big tournaments. sometimes, on a slower nights, 250-260 will win it.

i only play at dkings because i like to play 2 centers or 2 PG's chick.

in the larger gpps on a big card, you are going to need to get close to 300

to cash?

i have average cash last year right above 257.

i have average winning score right around 298. (This is in the tournaments with player pools under 10k)

i missed a few days, and a week in the middle of the season, but can't imagine it's all that much different.
