BigBill365
I think you guys are underestamating the skill it takes to come back from double digits in college football.Florida Sate never loses composure being down to anyone.LAst year they were down to the all holy SEC team and they won on a last minute drive and they consistantly win like this. That my friend is skill and being calm and cool. You guys look at the final scores to much.Take a look at the first half FSU scores and then the 2nd half.Good teams will be able to adjust at halftime and score more in the 2nd.Its what seperates a good team from bad is ability to adapt. tripp
Seeding really doesnt matter. FSU will have a hard time making the playoffs if they lose a game and if they don't lose a game they are for sure in the playoffs. Who cares if it is 1/2/3/4. If Bama wins out they probably end up getting ranked 1st anyways Fla St in the end will have to prove themselves by beating two top teams back to back in January. No more NC State and miami fla, they can prove they're legit by beating two of Bama/Oregon/Miss St/TCU/Baylor

BigBill365
id take oregon ML any day over bama.there good at playing other boring SEC teams but no one ever gives a fast no huddle to team a chance to play these hyped up boring ass old man style tems.Id even bet Baylor over bama. The reason bama seems so good is because they play the same style teams which is bull shit. yisman
florida state hasnt lost one game this season you cant get better then that. huh? Have you seen their games? It's not all about wins and losses. It's about overall performance. You can get A LOT better than what FSU has shown. There's a difference between being undefeated in dominant fashion, and being undefeated due to narrowly escaping with a bunch of wins (and they needed a lot of luck in some of them). Dominant teams don't repeatedly trail inferior teams for much of the game. FSU has 10 wins and not a single one of their opponents is ranked in the latest AP poll, as far as I see. The bottom line is that FSU is not a top 5 team based on performance. If all you do is look at win/loss record, then yes, FSU and Marshall are at the top. WMtribe17
It's funny how when Auburn barely squeaked by in half of their games last year, they were called a team of destiny and it was outrageous to think they didn't belong in the NC. This year, FSU (who is unfairly being compared to last year's team) is barely squeaking by in games and they are called overrated, terrible, not even a top 10 team, don't play anybody, blah blah blah... FSU did just about everything in their power to play a good non-conference schedule having OK St., ND, and Florida. Tell me one other major conference team that has a nonconference schedule anywhere close to that. It's not FSU's fault that OK St. isn't good this year, ND mailed it in after losing to FSU and having no chance at the playoff, Deshaun Watson getting hurt for Clemson (with Watson at QB, Clemson is a top 10 team), and getting no credit for winning road games against solid teams like Miami and Louisville because they are considered awful since they aren't in the SEC (but don't worry, SEC fans will call wins over Kentucky, Arkansas, and Tennessee quality wins). People need to wake up and realize there isn't a single good team in college football this year and it will be a crapshoot as to who will win the NC. yisman
Miami is quality, but look at all the posts bashing them here. Several people said FSU was a lock over them because Miami isn't very good. Well, Miami led for the vast majority of that game. I'm not saying it's FSU's "fault" that their schedule is weak, but it's a fact that none of their wins came over currently ranked teams. Sometimes teams do try to schedule good teams and it doesn't work out. That means they didn't intentionally play a weak schedule, but they did, whether they intended to or not. It's not Todd Helton's "fault" that he played in Coors Field, but his career stats are vastly inflated as a direct result.
WMtribe17
Prior to playing Mississippi St, Alabama didn't have a win over a ranked team with their best win being 4 loss LSU, who just ended the ridiculous SEC losing streak that belonged to Arkansas... Yet everyone was whining that Bama should be number 2/3 and ahead of FSU. Now they beat the number 1 team (a suspect #1 but I won't go into that argument for now) and everyone is ready to catapult them to number 1... Bama has looked terrible in every road game they have played this year and people are 100% confident that this "dominance" Bama has shown this year is going to translate well into neutral site playoff games. BigBill365
Only way to find out who the best team is is to start having power conference games like Oregon vs Alabma in there regular schedule but i remember hearing SEC didnt want to do that for some reason.I think if these SEC teams came north to play in november theyd be in for a rude awakening playing in some of these places like ohio state in late november

There's a difference between saying a team should be #1 and saying a team will play well on a neutral-site playoff game. Hedge
florida state hasnt lost one game this season you cant get better then that. Sure you can. You could cover the spread in those games and make a statement. Instead, FSU is 3-7 ATS against mediocre competition. Also, they lost to ND before a referee decided to flag the winning TD. If that score stands, a one loss FSU team isn't in the National Championship picture.

Rankings are based on performance, not projections of whether they'll win the national title or whatever. When Mississippi State was #1, it wasn't because it was thought that they'd beat everyone in the playoffs. One of the big complaints from people for why Bama should be number 1 is because of how "dominant" they have been in the scores of their games. I was just eluding to the fact that for a team that has been dominant, they haven't seemed that great away from home - a 14 point win over Tennessee, a 1 point win over Arkansas, a loss to Ole Miss, and a 7 point OT win over LSU. Yet, when FSU squeaks by on the road against the likes of Louisville and Miami, everyone is ready to say how much FSU sucks for not destroying them because they are "bad". Me personally, I want to see how Alabama does against a team that can throw the ball (FSU, Oregon, Baylor, TCU) because there aren't many (maybe any) good passing teams in the SEC.
