coat in olive oil with a heavy layer of salt on outside....1.5-2 inch thinck ribeye do 4 mins flip, 4 mins, flip, 4 mins flip 4 mins and done.  do the first 2 4 min segments with burners on high, the second two sets with burners on medium.  If the flare ups keep happening just blow them out or move the pieces of meat away from the "hot spots"

Put the steak in the microwave for about 10 seconds before you put it on the grill. Microwave cooks from the inside out and then you don't have to have it on the grill very long to cook the outside,

Microwave alters the molecules and thus the nutrients of every food consumed. Is just an unhealthy way to be cooking a meal, period. Not a good advice at all.

We finally get a clue as to why PO69 packed his station wagon with microwaves during Katrina while leaving his dogs behind

Boil them.

Cook at a lower temp numbnuts

Marinate your steaks in Preparation H

How does that fix anything?

I actually do coat them with a little bit of olive oil and salt/pepper.  But, 16 minutes of grilling is too much, pal.  You're Brock Landering the steak if you do that...

I do-- 2.5 minutes, then turn it 90 degrees (same side) for another 2.5... then FLIP it over for 2.5 minutes, and then turn it again for 2.5 minutes.  Ten minutes tops.  Comes out medium.
