ted sheckler
Holding off and taking Cleveland for series after game 1. Cle pounding righties. Cle hitting .208 against lefties. Lester been pretty good. Big game. Been there before. No reason to believe he struggles.

richsox24
Wonder if Jonathon Lucroy still thinks he made the right decision to veto trade to cleveland and instead go play in texas.

Obviously he thought Texas had a better shot of getting to the WS. Or playing in the WS just isn't that important to him.

tripp
Wonder if Jonathon Lucroy still thinks he made the right decision to veto trade to cleveland and instead go play in texas. He probably still would. IDK if it was all about texas having a better shot to win, i think more of it had to do hed rather play in texas than cleveland for 1.5 years and possibly longer Its similar to how Hamels was stuck in Philly last year when they were the worst team in baseball, he wouldnt accept a trade to Toronto reportedly when Toronto was great. Hamels only had a few places hed want to go (texas being one of them) or else he said he was more than happy to stay in Philly. Andrew Miller recently said/implied if he did have a no trade clause like Lucroy he probably uses it to block the trade to cleveland also because at the time the option he most wanted was to stay in New York because he loved his teammates
Hangover
I dont think any player would willingly move to fly over states if given the choice in trade unless they grew up there. Free agency a bit different because cash is king.
KingKolzig
went big on cubs -190 with my surplus of bovada cash better team but they might get tight

Free agency a bit different because cash is king. agree with this florida/texas also have financial reasons (no state income taxes for all home games) lucroy makes around $5 million a year... probably saves around $250,000 in cold hard cash by being in texas so net $2.5 million or net $2.75 million, that's a sizable difference when you consider how short a career is
Hangover
Yep and Lucroy is not a young buck anymore...gotta get every drop he can while still can. Sure he would go to Cleveland if they blew him out of water with a contract. But in a trade or comparable contract offer elsewhere....hell no. KingKolzig
only thing that concerns me is vegas has been all over the tribe for months. they were never worse then 6-1 to win it all. that tells you they think they are good. however they will be throwing out some marginal starting pitching cause of the injuries and the cubs should feast
