Teddy kgb
I'm pretty much all the way out at this point, started the decline a few years ago and now just don't watch or pay attention really...... I still see a lot of excitement here on the forums for sports but I don't know how old everyone is or how long they've been following sports.......for me it just got to a point where everything is a 25yr re-run...same game just with a different name on the back of the jersey.....I've seen it all I was never a jock sniffer, always more of a fan of teams which is why I think some who are jock sniffers hang on their whole lives following sports......not that there's anything wrong with that.. I also enjoy casino games much more then I do betting sports......cards, roulette, slots and keno excite me more then watching a boon dunk a basketball... Are you guys at the peak of your sports interest or just getting started or on the decline?
FairWarning
I'm sure I will but I've cut back on college sports (especially hoops). I've been following sports since the early 70's, baseball and hockey haven't changed much. I get your point about the 25-year re-run. I live by many casinos and I know I'll lose if I play, so I don't. The other big factor is the closest one to me has higher limits for the Chicago people, also Chicago prices on food/booze - can't justify it. Not going to work 2 jobs so I can pay $7 for a Ballast Point AND lose at table games.
housepicks
I knew more about sports In 1986 http://cdn.sportsmemorabilia.com/sports-product-image/1-t6721985-340.jpgThink this was
rdalert447
I won't at the rate I'm going. I've given up on hockey, baseball and NFL. I'm down to college hoops, college football, and horse racing.
The Dark Man
no interest in the events at all, just business other than mlb, still enjoy the ballyard.

RealSlimShady
On the decline for sure. I used to be glued to the TV all Sunday watching anything NFL related from early morning to late night but not anymore

WeinkeToWarrick
I'll always love my Noles, but overall I definitely don't love sports like I used to. Don't live with my degenerate best friend anymore, busier at work, and had a kid. Plus have gotten burned so often I'm jaded.
BarryRunSome
Before I started gambling I could watch any game without money on it Then once I started gambling I couldn't watch a game without 300+ on it Now that doesn't even do it Within 5-7 years I'll be done betting on sports. It's already only one third as fun as it used to be
BarryRunSome
A couple things on sports gambling. First off it's much better when you're a brokedick fuck. It's more of a rush. You might go hungry if you lose. If you make decent money, which I make, I can never win enough money in the day to make a difference in my life. With my unit size the best day I'm ever going to have is probably +2K. I know Rito and me used to have problems and he used to say I thought I was rich. That's ridiculous. I never said that. I make average money. Enough to get by without having to worry all the time about finances. I went back and looked at my last 4 months of daily figures. The most I won in any single day was 1446 on Dec 28th. The following day I lost 1299. Then the two days after that, I won 1290 and 1335. That amount of money does not even move the needle for me. It does nothing. I would obv rather win then lose, but all I did was cash out BC, money went into my account and I probably gave it back 6 weeks later. When you're broke and making 300 bucks a week gambling is a hustle. Winning and losing might be the difference between eating and not eating. Always Call Heads
I have zero interest in sports outside of gambling. I have a small amount of interest in some college football games but will rarely watch a college game unless the matchup interests me for some reason. I don't even watch most of the games I bet on. Before I stopped working and decided to try my hand at betting on college football, I had stopped watching sports for more than 10 years. Most of my interest in gambling is financial rather than sports.

Always Call Heads
Ironically, the thing that broke me from sports was becoming a sportswriter. I was huge baseball nut growing up. I even spent my own money to subscribe to the Sporting News and get all the stats which were two weeks late but all you had back in those days. It was an obsession. I would listen to every game and kept my own stats for the Texas Rangers. Then I couldn't watch or follow any sports because I was working when all the games were on. Getting the same age as the players and spending all the energy on the outcome of games seemed ridiculous. Then I got interested in finance and that took the place of statistics and I was done with sports. Now finance is pretty much blown up with everything being overvalued so the financial aspects of gambling are fun to try to take advantage of. BGS 9.5
My watching interest has been reduced to NFL, NCAA Foots, golf, and tennis majors. I follow the Detroit Tigers daily, but never watch baseball.

HenryHiII2
I'll always love Baseball and Golf Interest in Football and Basketball comes and goes. For me a lot of that has to do with the rules changes/constant sissification of football and basketball. Those two sports just aren't what they used to be and are radically different from what they were 20, hell, even 10 years ago. Also, games in these two sports are often decided by the refs and not the players on the field. Once I started realizing that a few years back, it took some of the love I had for both out of it. That's rarely the case in baseball and never the case in golf. Baseball and golf basically exactly the same as they were 100 years ago and will be 100 years from now...both are determined for the most part by the players...by far the two best sports
