Cdmx
Yeah I'm not trying to make a killing. Just trying to put my land to work until I build my house on it.Don't you already have a huge house on a ton of land.
Bucky
On shares - you have the expenses (fuel, seed, fertilizer, chemical, etc). I have heard of a 1/3 share and no expenses. You still have the property tax on the ground to consider!
Cop
Don't you already have a huge house on a ton of land. Yes but it's not a ton of land. Only 6.5 acres :) I'm relocating in a couple years.

simpleandy
For 6.5 acres, you would cash rent if you can find someone to piss with that small of a parcel. The farmer pays you so much per acre and they have at it. Share Crop. I do a bunch of this and have yet to come across a 50/50 deal. I do a 2/3 (me) 1/3 (them) split. They pay 1/3 fertilizer, 1/3 chemical and they get 1/3 the crop. They pay the land taxes. Cash rent puts all the risk in the farmer and share crop puts the risk on both parties. Far less paperwork and bullshit with a cash rent.

Bigrunner
I hear the Iowa farmers are pissed at Trump. Something about Mexico being a huge imported of Iowa corn. Also Trump is an enemy to online gaming. Billionare casino owner Sheldon Adelson paying Trump for favors. That's called corruption. That's the opposite of draining the swamp.
