Looking forward to see this kid play..fultz is a really cool story because he wasn't one of those basketball phenoms. I believe he played on his JV team as a sophomore. He went to Washington over all the blue chippers because they wanted him before all the other schools. His size and athleticism came after his skills which usually results very positively because he developed his game before he was able to beat everyone with those attributes. Can't underrate being underrated as a kid. He was also clearly the best college recruit by the time it was said and done. He worked his ass off. Kept saying id rather be Sixers fan base or owner than be one of the many teams like the Pacers, Nuggets, Kings, Mavs etc that get stuck in mediocrity where they are nowhere close being good but not bad enough to grab franchise changers in the draft either Took longer than im sure they wanted in philly since they caught some bad luck in the draft lottery, then bad luck with injuries. But now have Fultz/Simmons/Embiid to build around. Even if Embiid proves to be unreliable the other two are incredible talents to build from Still wont happen for a few years, but Sixers will be a force in 4-5 years. Also incredible personality that youd love to have as the face of your franchise if you are an owner or fan base But injury issues are obv very real and scary. Could easily be type of guy that never puts together a full healthy season. IDK that id trade him though, it would depend completely on what the return price is. Stated with ComPlete and Utter InDisPuTion This was a tremendous trade for Philly, if they were planning on drafting Jackson at 3. JJ has future CokeHead written all over his face. I can take one look at him tell. I called Kim Delaney being a substance abuser years and years before it came out. Called it in her NYPD Blue days.
