35% of NBA fans agree. (Not that that means anything)

Obviously there is no way MJ is currently in the shape he'd need to be to even have a chance.

That said , calling Lebron the best ever is laughable by someone your age who actually saw both play I'm their prime. Lebron does a few minor things better than MJ and he was born with better physical attributes than MJ, but other than that , he's nowhere near MJ as the best if all time.

Jordan has reached mythical status. Its at the point where people think he made every shot he took, won every game he played

538 did an analysis showing Lebron has been far more clutch than Jordan.

This is what happens over time with athletes and people in general

Same goes for Presidents, every time you hear guys talk about old presidents like Lincoln, Reagan, JFK, etc its all great things and somehow we dont have anyone in the country as good as them now. its silliness, people simply get nostalgic and remember the good times. Ive heard people talk about Lincoln was very hated back in his time, and the point of saying that isnt to say he was a bad prez but more so to speak to the fact that people hate in the moment and then remember with fondness.

Mike made the same point earlier in the week that Lebron will likely be thought of in that perfect light 20 years from now just like Jordan is now when all the people that grew up watching LBJ are talking about him and his greatness.

He'll always be my fav athlete but i honestly really hope that 20 years from now im not sitting there denying that the current great cant be as good as Lebron. There will always be somebody better to come along, always
