I hate to say it, but railbird at eog said that security guard(campos) might be in on it, and he might be right.. How could that guy be shot and not call it in? If he had there would have been a whole shitload of other mandaly bay security up there 15 min later when the cops arrived(not just him). There were two windows knocked out in the suite, maybe he was at the other window, he might have shot himself in the leg and ran out of the room? Then paddock might have figured he was fucked and killed himself.

Something fishy going on

Or maybe paddock planned on double crossing campos , killing him and getting away in the confusion, then he missed and when campos got away he killed himself, knowing he was not gonna get away? They might  now think campos was shot early because that's when he got to the floor(alarm/elevator logs, etc), campos had to change his story to match the times.

As questions spiral about a significant shift in the timeline of the Las Vegas shooting, a security guard stands in the middle of the controversy: Jose Campos.

At first, Campos, a guard at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, was hailed a hero for helping guide police to gunman Stephen Paddock's room on the 32nd floor. Police said Campos was shot in the leg at the end of Paddock's assault on concertgoers—potentially distracting the gunman and causing him to panic and kill himself.

But now, questions have been raised after Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo revised the timeline and said Campos had actually been shot about 9:59 p.m.—a full six minutes before the mass shooting began at 10:05 p.m.—which means the guard could have instead led Paddock to start opening fire on the crowd for fear of being caught.

Police have said it was difficult to identify the source of the bullets during the attack, and the confusion added more minutes to their lengthy response. But the revised timeline shows officers would have known where Paddock was before the mass shooting even started.

The Mandalay Bay security guard shot by Stephen Paddock in the moments leading up to the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history was set to break his silence Thursday night with five television interviews, including one on Fox News, Campos' union president said.

Except when the cameras were about to roll, and media gathered in the building to talk to him, Campos reportedly bolted, and, as of early Friday morning, it wasn't immediately clear where he was.

Weird.
