The real danger is kids and young adults coming up that think like you do.

lol what?

believing that globalization is the only pathway to peace and prosperity for all and that the fewer impoverished and neglected people their are, the less violence that would exist? that's a danger?

as poverty dwindles globally, so does terrorism and violence. globalization, so far, has been the end of world wars. intertwined global economy's make countries less likely to go to war and fight one another because they would be harming themselves as well.

do you know why the supreme court ruled it unconstitutional for children to be forced to stand for the national anthem in school? because they found that degree of forced patriotism to be a danger, and compared it to the eventual downfall of nazi germany. would you care for me to post the exact excerpt from the ruling? nationalism and patriotism in regards to some superiority complex is dangerous and simply ignorant. i enjoy where i live, and the opportunities i was given, but i'm not dumb enough or naive enough to think other places in this world wouldn't have provided me with the same opportunities for prosperity and success. you DO NOT chose where you are born.

It's about honoring the people that helped make us the greatest nation on earth.

One more time, the NATIONAL ANTHEM is not the MILITARY ANTHEM. I have no clue where you get the idea that it is. It is honoring ALL AMERICANS, not military or fallen soldiers but every single american... even those ones you don't agree with. the right to stand or sit was one that was upheld and fought for by the military though, and you disrespect those sacrifices every single day you tell someone what they have to do in a free country.

The national anthem is a joke. Everybody hates standing for it. Nobody gives it the slightest bit of attention. It is soley about control and keeping people in control.

You say this, yet  when you watch a sporting event that airs it, 97% of the people stand for it and aren't dancing around or acting like a fool.

Never heard anyone complain about it until a couple years ago.  Timely has made this same statement that the anthem is stupid and I'm sure he's been to a game (not sure about you) and I wouldn't be surprised if he stood for it.

Now sure, I have no idea what the flag/anthem actually stands for, but I always thought it was just honoring the country and for some reason they did it before school started when I was little and before sporting events and you weren't supposed to talk during it.  Never had a problem with it.  Some people can't stand for 30 seconds, which I get, so it makes sense for them to be angry.

Yes, you get indoctrinated in school. You say the pledge of allegiance every day. You stand for the national anthem. When the country declares war and drafts you to make you its slave, you readily accept to fight for the profits of a rich man.

Everybody stands for the national anthem because half the population wants to be controlled and wants others controlled. If anyone get out of step, they will drop on them like a ton of bricks.

You could do away with the national anthem completely and everybody would be happy about it but those that want to be controlled would go nuts so people will continue to do as they are told because they demand it.

Are you going to sit during the anthem in protest when you're attending a bulls game this year?

or

Will you purposefully go into the hallways where you won't get looked upon differently for taking a stance?

or

Just stand because everyone else is.

eh if i'm eating sometimes i forget to stand; a lot of times im in the concession line so it would be awkward to sit on the floor. sometimes i dont take my hat off. i never put my hand over my heart. i'm a pretty big rebel.

If you are in love with European style socialism, then why don’t you move there. Any normal American loves the National Anthem. It gives me goose bumps every time.
