Dont think anybody believed a word Brady said today Im the first one to argue the overall issue is way overblown. But no denying really that Brady was full of shit today, not that youd really expect anybody to come out and admit to having something to do with it. This is just the latest incident in a long line of things the Patriots have done (and you have to remember that BB is probably the smartest coach in the NFL, so if he keeps getting caught, the math isn't that he's an idiot that gets caught every time he cheats. He probably gets away with most everything and occasionally, maybe 10% of the time, he gets caught. He wouldn't have been caught in this instance if the Colts hadn't intercepted the ball). This wasn't done by Brady, he just knew what was going on. Brady is irrelevant. 1. The Patriots went into the game knowing that they were going to probably dominate the Colts. 2. The only thing that would compromise this result was the randomness of things like the weather and turnovers. 3. The Patriots knew they were going to run the ball. They had scored what was it...10 rushing TDs in the last two games with the Colts. 4. It was raining. 5. The Patriots deflate the balls to minimize the risks of their running backs fumbling. It's them not Brady that's important. Ask the 2011 49ers if fumbling in championship games is important. 6. They have twice as many rushing attempts as the Colts. Each team fumbles once. 7. If you think that underinflating footballs to give yourself an edge isn't cheating then you're a sucker. And the NFL loves suckers because it's good for business. And business is good. This is always the way it goes. People cheat and win. Other people complain. The complainers are pussies. Ask Greg Lemond how it felt to lose almost everything he had (including stupid shit like his business) and become an outcast because he kept on insisting Lance was cheating and it was bad. Everyone called him a fat, irrelevant, jealous crybaby. Oh well. Time to watch Super Bowl XXXVI and be amazed how one of the greatest offensive teams in NFL history got owned by a completely overmatched defense. It's so nutty how the Patriots seemed to know what the Rams were going to do on every play. I really don't give a shit either way but now I have to root for the Seahawks who I hate to beat the Patriots who I hate even more. Wish it would have been the Packers.
