Herbie
how do you play both sides of golden monkey so there is no risk? I was talking about playing both sides on craps (pass and don't pass). There is little variance in Golden Monkey game but not much. If you can find them play it when two steps are already lit up. Perhaps not at your local casino, but these types still around. Herbie, you in town????...........by the way, there's a GoldenMonkey slot machine in Mesquite at the VirginRiver near the buffet area Yep, in town for another week or two. There is still a bank of Golden Monkeys in Laughlin too. Took my first trip there in a couple years last week - shame to report the last known Piggy Bank game (at the Pioneer) finally got pulled. :(

Damn I graduated in 1998 you are making me feel young. I'm sure you played the stargate machines? Last one was in the lobby of the LVH. I used to play poker there regularly so checked it quite a bit. Never won much but I don't think I ever lost on the dozen or so times I got to play it. I went to breakfast at the oyster bar at 5 AM this morning with Bobby (me going to bed and him waking up trying to catch airport runs on Uber). Have you seen two games called pyramid poker and stud draw poker? https://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/tables/pyramid-poker/ https://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/tables/lucky-stud-draw-poker/ I messed around a little on pennies to see how it played while waiting for Bobby to show up and hit four aces with a 4x multiplier in bonus poker for 1600 coins ($16) about 4 hands in. No obvious advantages and shitty pay table.
Herbie
yeah same thing with ultimate x fleas check multipliers, early on i was about the only one that knew about it i still found plenty available in iowa since people there are so stupid X's are tough to find especially in Vegas. First I gave up checking the multi-game machines here (where people had other choices besides Ultimate X), then the ones with penny denominations (time loss of digging for nickels), and finally only check them when off-off strip (long bus rides for fleas). Fishhead gave me the tip to only check Double Double Bonus but once I sit down it is hard to not start clicking through on everything. A couple times year ago I took a bus between Winstar (Dallas) and Biloxi with a like a three hour layover in New Orleans where I would run to Harrah's in downtown to check the ultimate x's. Every time I checked them they were always loaded down with like $50 worth of multipliers. They eventually got some normal ones that (like the new spin poker and bonus streak ones) were also fixed to ten coins.

The fact that if you have stacked multipliers and hit a qualifying hand makes them all go to 12x is what turns this into a +EV spot. I’ve seen guys who are trying to vulture this particular game and are playing every multiplier they find, which is a quick way to go broke. Avenger
I go to Alamo all the time (mainly because I work down the street). I can never win at Silverton. I hate that place. I've seen some big rollers go through that place, just like the WH at Hooters, people placing 1K bets all day. I don't know why, both places are so gross? I'm guessing drug dealers. Alamo's slots are the best.

MonkeyF0cker
I used to bet at Hooters all the time when it was a Leroys book. The Trop used to let you park in their lot next to Hooters and walk over (not anymore though). So, it was a quick in and out. I used to play poker there too at times. Their room is closed now though. Even Billy Walters had a runner at Hooters back then. Now, I'm not sure why I'd ever step foot in that casino.

MonkeyF0cker
There's no place to use comps there. They have a diner and the Hooter's restaurant. Their rooms are garbage. No way you'd choose to stay there if you can get comps elsewhere. Their machines are really tight too.

Tried going to Mi Casa a few weeks ago, also new people there and the food and service were both below average. Starting to dislike the place as much as you do.
