Machiavelli
They tried sending me a small check, but I threw it away. Wasn't gonna accept a few bucks when they've been good to me.
mike499
Had a buddy that worked for Wells Fargo in the early 2000's he could drop a dime or five in my account just about anytime I asked not sure how he did it but man that was nice
Brick
Got the email also but don’t think I ever got a claim number. How are we supposed to know if someone opened a checking or savings account using our name?

How are we supposed to know if someone opened a checking or savings account using our name? If I'm not mistaken, it's if they pressured you to open an account that you didn't need or want. MonkeyF0cker
Got the email also but don’t think I ever got a claim number. How are we supposed to know if someone opened a checking or savings account using our name? Same here. Got an email a few weeks ago but I've never gotten a claim number. How much are they really going to give anyone anyway? $20?
Brick
Thought this was people that worked for Wells Fargo opening accounts under customers names to get performance bonuses and such?
Machiavelli
I think that they were forcing people to have more accounts attached to them.

Machiavelli
lol ya and you get to go deposit the check there after suing them. Think I’ll pass. Exactly. Unless it's a big figure, then it's very -EV to do that. I'd imagine that the folks who get their tiny amounts end up getting treated badly in the long run. F all that. Downsouth
Thought this was people that worked for Wells Fargo opening accounts under customers names to get performance bonuses and such?Close. My brother worked for Wells right out of college and he told us they basically pressured them beyond belief to open various accounts they didnt need. I believe it as its same as every bank. Used to work at BBT and they were constantly pushing to put shit products on customers to stupid to know better.

Machiavelli
Not even going to bother collecting my $3.26 Too much hassle with these fucks. Yeah. Don't do it. I received a similar small type of check---forget the amount off hand---and I just threw it away. Not gonna take a few crumbs from a place that I do business with and didn't mess me over. Always Call Heads
I got $300 out of them. They charged me some bogus fees for an account years ago and I battled them for years. When this happened, I resubmitted the complaint and they paid me double. Then they paid me as part of the claim separately. Never surrender

But for KR's few lil dollars, it isn't worth it even a little bit.

Machiavelli
It's enough for a parlay. Is that parlay chance worth messing up the place where you bank, though? I mean, surely if he goes and gets his 3 lil dollars and change, maybe nothing happens. But suppose he goes in for a loan sometime and someone reviews his info and sees that he took the lil check and decides to be a dick to him and declines the loan. Granted, maybe it's a wild scenario but I wouldn't want to take my chances for 3 stupid dollars and some change.
