milwaukee mike
As opposed to now where they can do that from home on credit. you're thinking about people already in that world i'm thinking more about people that don't want to be on the shady/illegal side but still want some sports action... largely untapped market around here, out of 80,000 people at a packers game probably less than 1,000 have any kind of action on it and 50,000 want action on it everyone already stares at their phones, just picture live betting at a jets/giants game
Always Call Heads
Did they hit ACH's projection of 1billion in first day handle? Don't expect a fast start. 2x Nevada in 10 years and probably 5.

Half of males that watch football will probably wind up betting $10 at some point once gambling is in place.

I see no reason why many other states would not eventually surpass Vegas once the illegal tag is lifted..
Always Call Heads
Eggzactly. I see no reason why many other states would not eventually surpass Vegas once the illegal tag is lifted.. Yes. They are going to vastly surpass Nevada because Nevada is a desert state that would barely have a population if not for Las Vegas. This is going to be a whole new world. Online gambling when you please with ease and they are going to be advertising. Completely unchartered territory. The only way they do not surpass Nevada is if they do a complete screw-up. But you can fix screw-ups. The long term on this is certain.

MonkeyF0cker
i disagree about the percentages huge population base right around new jersey that can cross the border nyc has about 3 times as many people as the whole state of nevadaThe percentage of gamblers in the population is going to be a lot lower than the people who are visiting Las Vegas. And most people who want to get more than $100 down per wager are a small percentage of sports bettors. Not many people are going to consistently drive or take the train for an hour or more to place $20 wagers. People here think it's going to be some giant windfall somehow but there's a reason there are only a handful of windows at the sports books there. Potawatomi is one casino with a monopoly in a city that has about half of the population of Las Vegas. It should be busy. There are about 500 places for locals to gamble in the Las Vegas valley including gas stations and grocery stores.
