Always Call Heads
You act like it is some giant cash cow. The government, banks, casinos, and racetracks want KYC protocols. And if they wanted people gambling online with credit cards, they'd already offer blackjack, slots, and other games online. Not going to happen. There is plenty of cash to be made and plenty of people that will want to make it. No way these sportsbooks are going to sit back and try to have people come into a location to place bets over the long term. That is fine for Nevada because they have no competition. Online competition is on the way.

And not because DraftKings makes the rules. No. Competition is not on the way any time soon. You need to be licensed to be competition. Everyone knows that but you apparently. There will be plenty of money available to obtain a license. You just go to Wall Street and tell them your plans and they throw money at you. Bfo
I’ve known and dealt with plenty of professional gamblers and wise guys. Many of them are from the Jersey/Philly/NYC area as well, and most of them have always said the same thing. Even if sports wagering was available in their home towns they ain’t leaving Vegas. They all love the weather and the atmosphere and have no desire to go back East and live in that environment. That being said it would be much different if legalization came to California, literally every gambler I’ve ever talked to fantasizes about retiring to San Diego. None of it would affect Vegas in the long run. No one comes here to just bet sports that makes a difference.

MS. does have state taxes though, NV. doesn't...…….small plus for NV. over MS. How long before MS. has more than even THREE OUTS available???...……….probably quite sometime. Always Call Heads
Gambling in most states will be pretty bad so I would agree that not much will change for the most part. Many states will be like Delaware and offer you nothing but pro and you will get Will Hill type lines. But certain states like New York and New Jersey will have the potential to change everything. California wants to allow gambling but they have apparently given all the rights to Indians so they have to figure out how to get it away from them. Some states are going to do things well and make money and others are going to be really bad and they will be disappointed. States that do not offer online gambling will begin to offer it and then taxes and such will be very similar across the board. The more states that offer gambling, the more it will put pressure on states that do not offer it and the more pressure it will put on states that offer a bad product to improve. Eventually, it will be pointless to try to defy the demand and every state will offer it or the Congress will just make it possible to bet across state line online to satisfy casino and league interests.
