Sol Aristatel
His family was from an Island off the coast of Africa. Forget the name off the top of my head. Island was a British colony at one time I believe though. They moved to the UK when he was 10 or so.

Sol Aristatel
His parents were India born- descendants of Zoroastrians who escaped to India about 1000 years back.Interesting. Although Persia is usually referring to a general region, its mostly known as present day Iran. If his parents were born in India why would wouldn’t they be considered Indian? Regardless of where their ancestors 1,000 years ago were from. Everything I read refers to the parents as Persian.

Where? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddie_Mercury Watch the first few minutes of a major English TV program that features his mother - there's no confusion about the origins.
