The Arizona Coyotes are venturing to Sin City knowing the odds are stacked against them as they make a last-gasp bid to secure their first playoff appearance since the 2011-12 season.

The Coyotes will need to win their last two games -- including Thursday's road tilt versus the Vegas Golden Knights -- and hope that Colorado falls in regulation in each of its last two contests.

COLORADO officially eliminates the YOTES with their win

VEGAS vs SAN JOSE may be the most intriguing and entertaining 1st round matchup of the playoffs.

It's wide open across the board.

The Knights certainly helped themselves these past few days in the trade market, that's for certain.

Would be surprised if STL, COLO, or the VGK doesn't represent the WEST in the Cup Finals.

To follow up, the VGK now have a quality goalie for the next 6-7 years to replace the aging Fleury, this was a very much need for the Knights.

The loss of Darcy kuemper has been a huge hit to the "Yotes.  I believe they were either in 1st or 2nd place in the Pacific when he went down in mid-December.  Been treading water ever since with Ranta.  And then later had to play with the 3rd string guy when Ranta went down.

Kuemper is rumored to possibly be returning tonight.  If he can return to form soon then AZ could be a dangerous out if they sneak into the playoffs.

Best Goalie in Hockey when fully healthy.

Looking forward to a deep playoff run.

You're forgetting dallas. After a BRUTAL 1st 10 games of the season, they've been really good.
