kyhawk Posted August 4, 2019 Report Share Posted August 4, 2019 I was robbed and kidnapped while driving my cab in that area years ago.Guy got in my cab, pulled a knife and told me to drive.He took 30 some odd bux and the cab on the other side of the interstate. Actually, other side of infamous Shadow Creek, then a desert.Worse was he kept the cab meter running and the owner of cab still kept his half. kyhawk Posted August 4, 2019 Report Share Posted August 4, 2019 I started driving a cab there in NLV. You could not pick up downtown or the strip, so I got to know all of NLV. I remember some poor white cab driver was there when the OJ verdict was announced and the blacks kicked his ass. Cabs were quickly withdrawn from area and later cops had to block street leading to downtown from NLV. Actually, West NLV. The blacks burned down the old Cotton Club that night.
