mikeman
Ohhh lol Trying to make sure nothing weird in there lolololol80-20 is the proper ratio for a tasty burger, you wouldn't want to go to 90-10, it would be dry and tasteless. Machiavelli
So that's what the guy meant in saying they were 4 to 1. I have never paid attention to macros or whatever on food. Never had to!
mikeman
So that's what the guy meant in saying they were 4 to 1. I have never paid attention to macros or whatever on food. Never had to!At least around here, ground beef comes in 73-27 - the cheapest, 80-20 is sorta the standard, then you have 85-15 and 90-10, which go up in price but why eat it, i guess the 90-10 is for people who've had heart attacks or something. For something like taco's, I like to use ground turkey, which is normally 85-15, lower fat( I understand you drain it either way), not quite as tasty as beef but the taco seasoning packet overwhelms the beef anyway, along with everything else. mikeman
Interesting. Thx for sharing. Will start paying after to this stuff.I like the 80-20, the shit(73-27) is cheaper but it can be gross, swimming in a pool of fat, the avg stuff goes on sale around here for $1.88 all the time, I can afford that, The better stuff i, 'm like wtf are you doing, you think it's better(because of the price) and healthier, but in most applications it'll make the dish worse, not better. When i was a kid i bought ground sirloin one time for a tail gate, thinking, yea, I'll have good burgers. Man, those were the worst burgers I've ever had, no fat, no drippings, no flavor. mikeman
What’s the mix of beef assholes and fat in potted beef pal? The fat % of potted meat is unimportant, being used in such small amounts(a thin spread), besides, when it comes to a delicacy or you could say celebration food/special occasion, nutrition is pointless.. Thumbs up to alberta and canada.
