milwaukee mike
if you're gonna make over 12k in any given year, then absolutely yes the match is only 10% but that's still something, and when you take the money out it will probably be tax-free

mikeman
10% is really goodIf it's a match UP to 10% that's fantastic, it sounds like a 10% match, meaning if you put in 5% they will put in .5%, that's pretty bad in todays world. Should you contribute Wade? Yes you should, although most here like to see you stay poor so we can laugh at you.
WVU
10% is extremely generous. Make sure to do the whole 10%.
milwaukee mike
10% is extremely generous. Make sure to do the whole 10%. it sounds like what others here are saying, that it is 10% of YOUR contributions? not 100% of your contributions up to 10% of your income

WeinkeToWarrick
I had to reread it too. I think it means 10% of whatever is employee contributed, not 10% of total salary. Deceiving and shitty when it had potential to be amazing. Poor Wade

Deceiving and shitty when it had potential to be amazing. Poor WadeIt's better than nothing, if he's smart and puts maybe 10% in, he'll get 1% extra(free), you cant turn it down and it'll add up fast. i dont like the idea of a roth 401K, for a guy like wade getting the tax deduction now seems better, meaning it'll only cost him 6 or 7% to put in 10. WVU
Wade won’t need the tax deduction now. How much tax do you think he is paying?
mikeman
Wade won’t need the tax deduction now. How much tax do you think he is paying? Is he the bus driver, or is that moldy? Anyway, even if he's making $15 an hour, he's having taxes withheld. The problem is a guy like wade will move jobs in a couple years and then cash in his 401K, instead of rolling it over, that'll ruin everything. kovacsbar
Does being a homeless truck driver in training count as a hardship)??Maybe he got an extended term declaring his truck as his residence. Anyone who has had to borrow from his own future don't have one anyway. Guy knows he's a dead man tho, might as well eat a plate of grease and bet on Illini games with his savings.
