Younger people are more worldly, and they look more towards Europe than the older generations do. Democratic socialism works throughout Europe. No reason to think it wouldn't work in America. We hear this every 4 years. Blah blah blah. He might have stood a chance. If he wasn't such a communist. Opened his mouth with the Castro shit. Couldn't help himself. He's done man. No chance. I was in charge of canvassing for my area and coordinating with the USF Democrats for events. Knocked on thousands of doors and held dozens of GOTV events. I've been pretty politically active over my life, and I've never seen anything like the support for Bernie. Never thought he could win in 2016, but he has a real chance to win in 2020. I thought about taking her Bernie hoodie outside and setting it on fire when she came home last weekend for a visit. But thought it wouldn't be good for our relationship. So I decided to use some self control. That young support is what would prevent it from being a landslide. But he ain't winning a general against Trump. I'm being intellectually honest with myself.
