median per capita income way higher in the scandinavian countries and their health care is half the cost and twice the quality.

the social welfare state does not scale to more complex, non-homogeneous societies. this is a major error that simple-minded people do not understand. scandanavian countries have a rude awakening coming to them in the post-migration world. levels of social trust are already eroding there. their model of 'democratic socialism' will collapse within 10 years. 20, max.

bet on it.

Add up all the money a typical family pays in child care. education, health insurance, elderly support, higher pension, less depreciation,  lower general insurance.........

Factor in an earlier retirement, a longer life, better health, better education, personal safety.

Don't wanna do the math? What is each country's debt/GDP ratio. The lower it is, the more value you relieve for your tax dollars.

US @ 106%

Sweden @ 38%

You can't have anywhere near the quality of life as Sweden because your gov't is broke. Sweden's debt has been shrinking for years, it is a happy, healthy country for the most part. The US is a shithole for 80% of it's residents.

Stop pointing fingers and making excuses. Fix your shit.

And stop electing self serving asshats to run the joint.

Sweden has 10 million people.  Maybe compare them with another tiny economy instead of the US.

Employers who offer insurance also get a pretty good price on a group rate. Small business don’t get those costs at all. Most of my customers had to offer insurance, yet don’t have it for themselves because they cannot afford it.

Agreed and your second point is just not right/fair for those people.  Back in the old days there were things like a 25000 deductible.  I would still sell that if I could. A customer at least has a chance to pay that off. I do not even have a problem if that product is underwritten.

The real cold, cruel world can be medicine.  Put the money on the counter or walk.  No back door emergency room there. But, some pharmaceutical companies are compassionate with coupons.
