Boatboatboat
Answer his question No I do not think Donald Trump in any way whatsoever influenced this. You're dealing with University presidents who have phD's they're not listening tp a cartoon character. Chances are every big ten Pres is a liberal, nature of that academic beast
Boatboatboat
It wasn’t Trump. These schools NEED the football revenue. Tuition revenue can’t run schools of this size. Football revenue does not go into the general fund football revenue is only used for Athletics
Boatboatboat
And in fact tutiona revenue a small portion actually bleeds over to finance Athletics

sleepy
Is anyone able to read this garbage? Even sportswriters have to be leftist pussies. Then came Wednesday, the darkest day in Big Ten sports history, the day the vaunted conference caved. It choked. It got scared. It became the SEC. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/columnist/brennan/2020/09/16/big-ten-football-decision-marks-darkest-day/5793238002/

Those days are ancient history. It just shows how leftism infects every level of their thinking, they hope and pray for bad outcomes because they feed off unhappiness. mikeman
One thing is certain, this is a big blow to the fear mongers, the doom and gloom crowd. they thought that shutting down the big 10, pac 12, etc would spread everywhere, just as shutdowns did and masks did. The opposite happened. If college, pro and even high school sports can go on, then pretty much all of life can go on. they're going to have to find another way to scare people, stay tuned because they will.
