That doesn't matter, you guys are already around 40 % immune, maybe a tad more, all you need is for 20-25% more to get the shots and that's it. And you'll likely get 40% at least.

The pfizer vaccine was approved a week ago friday, most states got their shipments on mon or tues, literally millions of doses were sent out, today they say 130,000 people have been vaccinated so far. That's weird, it's almost like they are in no rush to vaccinate lest that end the pandemic and the reason for their dictatorial rule?

Those of you that refuse to wear masks and get the vaccine are on the other side of the wager. Can we both survive?

One of the possible scenarios is that anti maskers/vaccinators die off in greater numbers than pro makers/vaccinators.

Since most on the "NO" side ie anti-mask anti vaccine are mainly on team red and support Trump their deaths will be good for the Democrats.

I think there should be more mask-less gatherings of Trump supporters. The more the merrier. Nothing bad will happen, its just not possible.

NY, CA, NJ, MI, all have had mask mandates for 7-8 months, locked down for much of the time,   their cases and deaths are higher than red states that have done little or none of those things.

Masks dont work.

Lockdowns dont work.

Went to the casino today to get a free christmas ham(only cost me $250), stopped at the bar on the way home since ours are shut. What a breath of fresh air, no maks, no bullshit, you would never know a pandemic was going on. Notice how we dress up here considering it's well below freezing outside.

You could be right about this. We won't know for sure for a while yet as all the facts are not in.

I appreciate those that believe masks and vaccines don't work, they are doing the rest of us a huge service. If they choose not to wear masks and not get vaccinated and everything is fine in another year or so I'll follow suit. If they contract the virus and become ill, die or develop a lifelong condition due to Covid from not wearing a mask or getting the vaccine that helps me as well because then I'll know to not do what they did.

Me personally, I'm steering clear of large groups in enclosed places and mask up when required. Even if the virus isn't deadly to me I still don't want to get it and become ill.

I'm curious to see how the experiment of the anti-maskers works out. Survival of the fittest is probably the best way.

Good luck, I go to casino's and bars with regularity, have since this started, and I do not wear a mask unless I'm forced to such as at the dentist or now a casino(then I wear it poorly).

Well, no offense but you have no formal education in medicine or infectious diseases so I can't accept your conclusion about masks at this point, this is not up for debate. Making an assumption based on what little anecdotal evidence you have is not something I can agree with.

I'm all for personal choice and understand there are people that choose not to wear masks etc. I'm being a bit more cautious and will wait and see before making a decision to go maskless myself. I appreciate that there are many people willing to risk getting sick over their beliefs and are using their own bodies as test instruments. I am not willing to disregard public health officials advice on the chance I may be right. So I basically disagree with anti maskers right now but appreciate that they are willing to potentially step on a grenade for the rest of us. If they are correct, no harm, if they are wrong, better them than me.

Has it occurred to you that wearing a mask could make the chances of infection worse? Before the hysteria began in the spring, every prominent epidemiologist said just that, because every previous study had concluded that.

Many things have "occurred to me" but I'm not a Dr nor am I an Epidemiologist/Scientist so my opinions on the subject don't hold much weight. I have google and tv and I'm at the mercy of the info I can gather this way which means I'm ignorant, I never studied medicine in university.

"Every prominent epidemiologist" said masks "could" make chances of infection worse? Doesn't sound very conclusive, just causes more doubt. Also, how was the list of "prominent" determined? Was it 1, 10 or 100? They were all unanimous in their opinion? Interesting if true.

Like I said, I'm all for other people going maskless and gathering in large groups. Won't hurt me one bit as I won't be anywhere near that kind of action. I will be interested in the outcome though and I'll be watching intently. At least my way if I'm wrong there is no consequence.

They must have believed that wearing a mask was 100% effective in preventing the contracting of Covid, thats just not smart. I noticed you mentioned they are filthy lefties, my words not yours, lol.What do their political beliefs have to do with it? Do right wingers never wear masks? Is it anti republican to wear a a mask?

Now I'm no scientist but I believe that wearing masks HELPS in slowing the transmission of particles when exhaling or sneezing.

I don't think for a second that mask wearing will prevent me from contracting the virus.

Yes appears so,

I am fairly intelligent but when I need medical advice I still consult with a physician - I would probably mis-diagnose myself.

Same goes for my car. When it breaks down I take it to a mechanic instead of looking to google or a sports forum for the solution etc.

Maybe it's just me but I really believe its the right move to look for information and seek opinions of those who are qualified to do so and have a formal education on the subject.
