With Richard Pitino ousted, the Gophers turn toward new head coach Ben Johnson to right the ship. A Minnesota alumnus, Johnson most recently served as an assistant at Xavier under Travis Steele. The Gophers lost Marcus Carr to Texas and will need to find a way to replace his on-ball responsibilities and scoring load.
