ERBtheGREAT
I'm a novice, what's the best smoker to get? Electric? Doesn't have to be really large but I'd like one with a built in thermometer and a glass front. If anyone has experience I'd appreciate it. The X
Electric is very ez for the beginners. And the nice thing is you can set it and leave it. No feeding it. Just follow what you're cooking as far as technique. Pretty much fool proof.
housepicks
If you plan smoke a lot do the electric. If it’s more of a novelty thing and ya wanna feel a bit more manly that’s not the route. I’d by a horizontal charcoal with an adjustable height grate and a side smoke box if I was gonna make another grill purchase.

housepicks
My gas Weber rolls at 275 with the first burner on low. I put a pan of water on top of burners 2/3. I put a little charcoal rack on burner 1 with some wood wrapped up in foil. Smoke ring out the wazoo.

housepicks
They charge a lot of money at a bbq joint to take cheap cuts of meat and make them taste good. I should say what they do is give small portions. Smoking your own is very ev
