My daughters house just bought. She was going to do carpet upstairs new wood downstairs . total prob 2600 sq ft

entire upstairs for carpet from my guy was 2k . very good thick with great padding.

She ended up doing entire house every room with new wood flooring in every room sanded stained and a new method called water pop . Floors look great . total entire house 15k .Including steps railings .

I'm considering...

Downstairs all wood, upstairs new carpet. About 1600 sq. ft on each floor.

So, 600 new wood down stairs and 1200 new carpet upstairs....

Can they match the existing bamboo downstairs or would that have to come out?

Can the same outfit do wood and carpet?

Biggest question,  do they move all the furniture and shit??

Best to tear up old and do all new . Cheaper if you have all furniture out of the way.

And yes any good floor guy can do entire job.

You cant shuffle around your own furniture?  Are you a fancy boy?

Typically when you have the hardwood done you'd move everything to the carpeting and then do the reverse when your carpeting is being done.

Paying some noob like KK to move your kitchen chairs and a lamp or two around is just silly.

Okay Red price this out worst case...

1600 new wood downstairs, 1600 new carpet upstairs, good carpet not shit, the best padding, complete installation and I don't lift a finger.

Estimate to the high side.

$?

Hard to price in your area. Here’s what you do. Find a flooring warehouse. Find A crew of Spanish guys that look like they have been doing this for awhile. Give them your number. Do that twice. Find one you like better. Get price. Then tell them 1k less you’ll pay cash when done.  You will save 30-50 % doing this. And they will be the same guys doing your floors if you called a company.
