I assume you're not too much older than me. Everybody that had parents who grew up in the 50s-70s were sort of forced to listen to Elvis or at least know all about how amazing the world thought he was. If he wasn't the #1 most captivating musician of all time, he's #2 at worst. The only other one that comes close is Michael Jackson. My mom, dad, every last one of their friends can tell you exactly where they were when they heard the news that Elvis had died. That's another level that has to be respected whether you liked the music or not. I always had to listen to the oldies growing up so I learned to appreciate it all. Great movie even if you don't watch movies. If you're bored for a few hours one night you could do a lot worse than waste some time to watch it.
